Afternoon all.

I present to you the Vintage Championship - with a twist!

Firstly a huge thanks to Andy (Homer) for his help with this.

Now onto the important stuff ..

You will need two cars! At a random point selected by yourselves, you must change cars.
Once you have changed, you cannot go back or change again. They cannot be the same car.

You must declare the change of car in the holding lobby before the first race of the night. Once we enter the first race, you must complete that and the second race in the same car.

Therefore the car you start the championship will not be the same as the one you end the championship on.

Another change from the previous championship will be the races will be held on the FIRST Sunday on the month.

The races will start at 20.00 as before.

Race dates are as follows:

1st February
1st March
5th April
3rd May
7th June
5th July
2nd August
6th September
4th October
1st November
6th December

I will also run an open private lobby on the third Sunday of every month for testing under race conditions with no points/penalties given. These will also start at 20.00 and will be open to all to come and go as they please. We can all have an input at to tracks and laps for these.

The rules are as follows:

All cars are available from Vintage Exotic GT, Vintage Le Mans Sportscars, Vintage Muscle, Vintage Sport Compact.

A starting maximum PI of 590.

All performance upgrades permitted, however tyres must be sport compound - we will be checking!.

Traction control will be disabled.

All races will take place over 15 laps depending on the circuit. The circuit, weather and time of day will be chosen at random by the game.

If the full Nurburgring circuit or Le Mans is selected by the game, we will be doing less laps.

All drivers must perform one mandatory pit stop per race. Whether you choose to change tyres/refuel is up to you.

Tyre wear will be set to 4x as per public lobbies, also dynamic track rubber will be switched on.

The scoring will be as follows:

Position Points
1st 25
2nd 18
3rd 15
4th 12
5th 10
6th 8
7th 6
8th 4
9th 2
10th 1

There will be a deduction of 3 points for whoever has the fastest lap in each race

The will be a gain of 3 points for whoever has the slowest clean lap in each race.

The scoring from each race will count as is. There won t be any more averaging out as before.

Win and loss bonuses:

The following PI changes will be taken into the next championship race, by that player (so if you miss a round you still have to take the points gain/decrease). Please note these are per race, so if you win both, you may have to drop 60PI!!

1st place: - 30 PI
2nd place: - 25 PI
3rd place: - 20 PI
4th place: - 15 PI
5th place: - 10 PI

Last place: + 20 PI
2nd to last: + 15 PI
3rd to last: + 10 PI

If we get to a point where someone can no longer drop any more PI - a drive through penalty will have to be served at the end of lap 1.

All races will be rolling starts and in a grid order of descending PI.

Hopefully that covers just about everything. Hope a few of you join in and we can have some fun

As before, I will keep the first post up to date with standings.

This looks great.

Hopefully I can get involved, although I play football on a Sunday now 6:30 til 7:30 so may be tight for time, but should manage to make it to bumble around at the back again :-).

Good stuff last night - bodes well for a good championship. Well done Flav/Homer! Think I ve settled on a car - just got to sort a suitably retro paint job now

Quick ask - when we make the move to swap cars, the new car will be at the PI of the original at the time of the swap?

When you swap your replacement car has to be the same PI as your current one.

So it doesn’t reset to 590 smile

I joined last night but neither of my cars worked as i downloaded group c and b tunes.

Do i have to delete them and tune it myself ?
