If you were only going to play one of these games, which would you choose and why?!?!

I'm just finishing KCD2, and haven't bought/played Crimson Desert yet as I'm waiting for the price to drop a little...as I think I only paid about £25 for KCD2 Royal Edition from Loaded.com.

Not sure how long it will be for Crimson Desert to reach that level though...and I have a huge backlog of games already.

KCD II is about £30 in the PS Store, I downloaded the four hour trial and don't seem to have actually done much in three hours so far !!

So the question is £30 for it now or £60 for Crimson now......

Not much happens in the first 4 or 5 hours of Kingdom come, it’s really just setting the story line up and introducing the gameplay. It soon gets going though after that and in my opinion it’s very worth it.
Excellent story, engaging side quests and just so well done, for me it’s right up there with the best.

They're still adding/changing quite a bit in CD at the moment. No doubt it'll be an even better game in a few weeks.

KCD2 now for £25, then CD for £25 in a years time when it's feature complete and maybe some DLC in the mix as well.

Yeah the four hour trial of KCD did not leave much to be desired and the combat was annoying. So I went and spent the cash on CD so that I can get a little army of cats........

It took me a while to get into it, and I did a lot of side quests before progressing the main quests...and took ages before I realised there was another, bigger map/region to explore biggrin

But once I got use to the block, parry, super-parry, thrust, etc. it became easier.

Still died a fair bit though, and my favoured ranged play style does not become worthwhile until much later in the game as the aim is awful until you've upskilled the whole archery path.

Just finished KCD 2, which was "free" with Gamepass.

Absolutely superb game. Haven't tried Crimson Desert yet but will probably wait for it to a) drop a bit in price and b) have most of the major updates.

If you enjoyed the first KCD, I would definitely go with number 2 for now.

Never played the first one I am afraid. It was just getting a little too much with the story and after three hours we had not done much, then it said things like that Press L1 to throw a rock but it did not so we got killed.... I have paid a premium to get Crimson pretty much to try and get a couple of cat companions as that seems hilarious............ I had hoped KCD II would be better from the start but I could not enjoy the combat at all, I might get it another time but I suspect Crimson will keep me (and more importantly my son) occupied for a while....

Can only throw a rock when crouched...took me a while to figure that out too, as I was wasting arrows trying to knock bird nests out of trees.

Ah FFS I would never have worked that out, I am pretty sure when you did the first rock in the lake you were already crouched but it did not say that was a requirement !
