Black ops 1+2 re-release

Bought black ops 2 on ps5 last night, I’m having a right blast, really does draw attention to the fact that modern cod has lost its appeal, hopefully the fact that black ops 1 and 2 are the best sellers on ps5 with 8 million players highlights this to the developers.

Don’t confuse this with the backwards compatible on Xbox, those servers are riddled with hackers and low player bases, the re release has a resolution buff and monitored servers.

Activision have already come out and said they've taken note of the success of BO1 and BO2, particularly with regards to how they might implement SBMM in MW4 iirc. I'll be interested to see where the blops games are popularity wise in a couple of months. The initial hype was always going be huge, but sustaining interest is far harder, particularly where there'll be no material changes to the game i.e. no new maps or guns. Battlefield 6 launched to huge hype and the usual 'CoD is dead'. Early on BF6 had peak Steam figures of ~750,000 concurrent players and is now about 50,000, so a ~93% drop. Don't get me wrong, I'd be playing BO1/2 myself if I had a PlayStation (I'm PC only) but I really do think that much like any new CoD, after a month or two interest is going to drop like lead balloon.

my mate bought it, i PS console share with him so downloaded it off him. Only really wanna play the story modes again, not so much the multiplayer
