Lotus Elise 111R -
Racing Exhaust system,
NO other power mods, not even NOS! - should give a total power of 202BHP.
You are allowed -
Racing brakes,
Brake controller,
full racing suspension,
fully customisable transmission,
triple plate clutch,
racing flywheel,
fully customisable LSD
and you are to use Racing tyres with -
Super hard tyres up front, and racing hard tyres at the back.
You are also allowed to increase the rigidity of the car, and use all 3 stages of the weight reduction.

If you want to use the driving aids, then i found using around 4 on the understeer setting made the car work extremely well.

Now take a trip around the Nürburgring Nordschleife and try to get your best time. You should be able to easily achieve a time sub 8 and a half mins.

hmmm, interesting. I might try this, now that my broken hand has healed enough for me to dust off the wheel...

Well i got 8 mins and 7 seconds. That was with three big off's. I was also trying to remember the setting (but couldn't), so it was with just Sports Normal tires on.

I haven't played for ages, so that why it was such a bad performance. Might try again this weekend.

Put in a quick 7'47.701 with a spin and a couple of offs. Slightly different spec though....I opted out of the brake controller, fully custom transmission and weight reduction and replaced it with Racing Hard tyres all round.

Is anyone still doing this challenge?
Best so far is a 7.41.274 using the original setup.
To start with I found the car was bouncing around all over the place so I had a play with the suspension set-up.
Not a perfect lap by any means, so still room for improvement.

That's pretty quick. My first effort was 7.42.

What suspension settings have you found to stop it bouncing off the track?

7.39 but there's some more time to be had there, I'm sure.
