My car recommendations are as follows :
Cone challenges - Ultima GTR
Everything else - Ferrari 355 or Ruf Supercar Concept.
Good thing with using the 355 is that it gives good practice for online 'Breakneck Racing'.
I had a good 6 seconds or so left using the 355 on some time trials.
Closest one was crossing the line with 00.00.01 on the clock !!!

The time trials do not have a set time as such. The time is determined by the class of car you use. i.e. for the class E 355, it will give you an extra 10 seconds to get around over the class A cars.
I just wanted to finish the game and found I could do the platinum medals 1st time out with the 355 and a bit more effort was needed with the higher classes. Just a nice easy car to drive, plus I have the hang of it now after many, many online breakneck races !!
Top tip for the Ferrari, the more squeeling from the tyres, the slower you are going.
F50GT takes a bit of finesse to get the best out of it and I wouldn't recommend to a beginner, it is like the TVR Speed 12 from PGR2, a quick car, but only in the right hands. An average driver in an F50 will get beaten by a better driver in a 'lesser' class A car.
