I hope another thread will be permitted, to discuss the benefits of different play style.

Firstly, weapopns:
"Which gun is best" A text description doesnt tell you much about the gun, and with so many weapons on offer, how do you know which one is best? I use the scope a lot, Im assuming everyone else does also? Still not sure which has the least recoil, most accuracy and best scope other than the sniper rifles.

And what of silencing - how will that help - or is the answer the obvious 'enemies wont be able to tell where you are shooting from'?

Ive not played much yet, but choosing class effects the weapons made available to the player, right? I might be imagining things, but Im sure I chose a weapon which made my class change (in that order) thus I lost the benefits of the class Id chosen? And am I right in assuming you can choose to BE any class, but at the same time you can choose to LOOK LIKE a different class?

Are the maps mirrored? Not been playing long enough to tell. And has anyone played 2up on their 360 over live? Do you need multiple live accounts for this?

Ok, what I know:

You can have 2 people on live on the same console with only 1 live account (other people will show up as guests)

Guns, I think it's a case of personal preference, I quite like the Camera-Guns as I can hold them round corners or over fences and shoot at people (use the top left bumper button), Sniper rifles are great on certain maps, especially as you can punch through most walls with them. Silenced weapons won't give away your position but they lose a fair bit of power compared to the non-silenced variants.

Classes, the advantages/disadvantages can be turned off by the host, but they are usually left on, you can have a light machine gunner class wielding a sniper rifle but you'll lose any benefits and be less accurate than a sniper class with a sniper rifle, not really noticed much difference myself but then I haven't really experimented.

Maps aren't mirrored, some of them are similar for both teams like the desert gulch map, and others start the teams out in differing locations, like the fishing village map where one team starts out in a small town and the other starts off near the beach in a little enclosure.

edit: as far as aiming, only really use the scope if i'm at any sort of range, I find it just as good to aim using the left trigger to make things more accurate as I can still see what's going on around me and you often find yourself staring your opponent in the face, taking the time to aim through your scope can mean you getting shot in the face.

Can the aiming (left trigger) be disabled in a game. Im sure I tried it (still getting used to the controls) and remember thinking it was probably a single player only function, as it didnt work.

Somewhere I read that the sniper rifle punched through walls and told you when you could shoot... tried it a few times on single player, but was never told when I could go through a wall

Does rifleman get to use his benefits when shooting on single shot mode with a machine gun (most guns are machine guns... except the sniper rifles iirc) What classes does everyone play, and does anyone else have a few favourite weapons yet? In games like CS, there were always preferred weapons which people would go for, money depending.

Do you crouch against walls? Must admit, ive only done this a few times, once in training... theres quite a bit more to the game than ones Ive played previously, needs some experimentation.

Will no doubt be online loads though, as its a cracking game!

The pressing yourself against a wall doesn't work in the multiplayer modes, controls are a little different in places too, was probably made by a different team, much like the splinter cell multiplayer parts were.

I think the sniper rifle will only let you know if you can hit someone through a wall on the single player game too, you just have to use your judgment on multiplayer.

Not sure about the classes and stuff really as i've only gone for Rifleman so far and not played long enough to get a feel for all the weapons.

On another forum someone mentioned MR-C and M8 as being two of the better guns avaiable. But I guess a lot of it is down to personal preference.
