I'm currently working on the 'Vampire Cure' quest.

I've collected all the items for Melisande and have given them to her. However, she still will not make the cure!? How do I get this?

You're probably best asking this at the official forums as this question has probably been answered already there.

Thanks, Steve.

Looks like I've just wasted 130 hours of my life as this bug has no cure on the Xbox 360 version of the game. This has completely ruined this game for me as I was so close to finishing all 50 achievements only to be stopped by dodgy programming.

That's bad!, and it's not on! if you bought it for the PC (as I did), there are patches, plus it cost me only £20, it's a bum raping £50 on the X-Box! At that price, the game should be more than perfect, no excuses for bugs at all!

Talk to a priest about a "Cure for Vampirism" or the
alternative could be to ask Vicente Valtieri, in the Dark Brotherhood (if he's still alive).

Make sure you complete this BEFORE completing the main quest, otherwise you'll be stuck as a vampire forever (unless they update the game).

then
player.additem [code]

where [code] is one of these for the cure for vampirism. Can't remember which but try each and you will get there

Thanks for that but the 360 version doesn't have any cheats like this.

I've just ordered Oblivion from PC World as they are doing it online for £20. That's a bargain.

Are most of these bugs rectified by the latest patches, and do I need to run the game first after installing it and then patch it, or can I just patch it and run it from the start?

If it doesn't work, they will patch it for the 360, just like other games that had achievement bugs

I'm a vampire also but I really can't be assed to trapes all over the land finding the ingredients for the cure which is ok because I quite likebeing a vampire as my character is a dark elf and now he looks even more hardcore hehe...

The sun damage thing did get annoying but I have the fully kitted house in Skingrad with my personal maid so I always have someone to munch on

I'm a vampire too - I actually don't bother to feed much as your stats increase hugely when you go hungry. I'm currently raiding dungeons for weapons/armour, and stashing it all at my pad in Anvil - just travelling at night.

I became a vampire, and have just finally completed the awful quest to get the cure. Still you can make 2500 gold from giving the cure to the count.

Another bug I've come across is equip your bow and arrows. Go to shoot an arrow and before you shoot it go to your inventory. Try to unequip the bow and arrow. It obviously won't let you. Now go to an item you want to duplicate and drop it then exit the inventory. Now however many arrows you had you'll now have that many on the floor of the item you dropped. Cheating yes but the cure for being a vampire requires 5 empty great soul gems. It's hard enough to find one let alone 5. So I found one in a mine (which I got lost in for an hour) near the witches house then duplicated it. I was just fed up of being a vampire.

Jezza, are you playing the PC or 360 version? I tried this on the 360 (just for research purposes, obviously ) and it didn't work...

You have to do it with no extraneous button presses during the cheat.

1) Equip bow
2) Equip arrows
3) Aim at a wall/tree/piece of furniture & depress fire button
4) Whilst fire button is still pressed, press [B] to bring up you inventory
5) Find your equipped arrows in your manifest and press [A] twice about a second apart and each time you should see a warning saying you can't unequip an item in use
6) Now select an item you want to 'multiply' (make sure it is an item you only have one of) and press [X] to drop
7) As long as you've selected an item that can be 'multiplied' (quest items and some others cannot) you should see a pile of them shoot out from your bow and bounce all over the floor.

If you press any other buttons by accident during the process it will not work - and don't try it with more than about 20 arrows as you 360 will likely crash. Also if you want to duplicate something you've got more than one of, then simply drop the rest on the ground before you do the cheat.

Thats the one

I found (probably documented on the net to) another bug with the vampire cure quest. At the end of the quest the when you speak to the count (to get your money) you click reward he gives you a reward depending on how much he likes you. However i clicked the reward button again and he gave me more money then more then more then more each time i clicked reward.. I don't want to ruin the game so i only took 170 thousand gold coins. hahaha oh well it's not like i'm ever going to complete this game anyway and i've always been poor until now.

Best way to get shut of vampirism on the X360 version is just to download the Deepscorn Hollow addon.

You get some really cool armour (no sunshade tho afaik), and access to a shrine where you can cure yourself. That's how I did it.
