Since I've actually had some time to practice this week and my plans mean I am able to race this Sunday I thought I'd start the old "what's everyone else doing" contest

Just done a few laps in the Ferrari. Despite missing the apex turning into Redgate (turn1) and missing the kerb at Schwantz (under Starkeys Bridge) I managed to do a 1m22.6s (so a few tenths to take off that if I do a clean lap).

Replay here - www.mercia.biz/GTL/DonNat-FWD-Fer275-1m22-6s.Vcr

I'm probably going to miss out too as I'll be on a plane somewhere between London and Helsinki.

ooo, been before adam?

I lived there for a year so if you have any free time (I assume you're going on business!) and want any tips about what is nice to do, let me know.

I won't be racing, but here's what could be considered the maximum allowable qualifying time.

Having problems keeping the Ferrari from drifting around corners too much.

Is this going to have to be a weekend off then - it is a bank holiday after all?

Bank holiday sundays usually involve me drinking a sick amount of lager starting at lunchtime and finishing with a stinky curry at about 11:30pm, so I suspect I'll be absent.

I'd vote for a monday night race myself.

Ah, actually I just realised I'm flying out on Monday evening so I can make a Sunday race after all.

Mike, I've been to Helsinki before. I know a good pool hall where we'll be spending a large amount of the time in the evening... and drinking a lot of beer and salmiakki Nice to be able to do it on expenses!

Won't do it. Says Loading PH Mark J and then the game crashes. It's either him or the car afterwards that causes me to bomb out.

Well that was unusual.

I was on the front row alongside PV and saw him jump early and then stop just as the green lights went so I pulled off and was 1st into Redgate, continued for about 8-10 laps or such holding off MarkJ then thought I had pulled away as I couldn't see him anymore.........then I had an odd spin coming onto the start finish straight. Very odd. So I just looked at the replay and I appear to be nudged round by a now invisible MarkJ. I didn't see you Mark at all, thought you had dropped back or gone off earlier.

I've made a little replay here - www.mercia.biz/GTL/gtldonny.wmv
It's the chase camera mode so your car should be visable in the foreground (your name at the top so you know it's on your car). Very odd.

Anyway I dropped down the field but drove hard for the remaining 13 laps and managed to pull back to 3rd but not enough time to do anymore.
