It's very nice, and I want one, but why have they taken all the buttons off of the wheel?! The POV hat was always useful!

On a side not, can you change how much you turn your head in gtl?

I'll be having one

Just hope that as well as making it quieter, they make it faster. In a real life spin with hands off the wheel you can go from lock to lock in literally a second or two. The DFP just winds it's way round slowly over about 3 seconds, which is too slow for hardcore 900 degree road car racing use, and if you "help" it along it can be too heavy too, and very noisy.

Needs to be half as strong (still bloody strong) and twice as fast!

This is on my wish list.

The ACT wheel is also quite nice: www.act-labs.com/products/race1.htm

Just received this note regarding the forthcoming release of the Logitech G25 - time to start raiding those piggy banks....

"I would like to inform you that, within the European region the Logitech G25 Gaming wheel is expected to be launched in the early weeks of September. You can visit our webpage periodically to know the availability of the wheel and click on Buy Now to purchase the device from our online stores. You can also contact your local dealer who sells Logitech product to know the availability of the device. To know about the Logitech dealer in your city, please refer the URL below:"

www.logitech.com/index.cfm/store_locator/home/GB/EN,cid=0

Their web page for the G25 has yet to be launched, but I would expect this to be up and running in the next week or so.

I preorded mine - www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=324740

Many people are banking on it working with the ps3 and logitech say it might but I'm using it for pc games like lfs and gtr2.

The ecci and act wheels are way out of my price range. This logitech wheel is the perfect price and spec I think.

£180 isn't bad for all that though really.

Imagine how every game will be transformed with the clutch and proper gears, especially GT5 when it gets here on the PS3! (but that will be £300 no doubt)

looks likely to be the best wheel on the market when its released (ignoring the non force feedback devices that might last forever, but dont have force feedback).

There's a video a logitech employee posted over at RSC http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.ph , scroll down to the turnspeed900 video, it looks far faster than the DFP.

cool stuff.

The ecci and act stuff can go over a grand, so I think this logitech wheel is a bargain.
