I'm going to have to start playing this again. Some of the mods look quite impressive!

There's a 4 car, 2 track demo of the 1979 Formula One mod out today, works fine with rfactor 1070 but slight issue with the update that is being fixed later today - edited to add fixed already - http://forum.rscnet.org/showpost.php?

Oh look, a Formula One overtake!

A little 1mb clip of me (in Gilles Villeneuve's Ferrari) slipstreaming and passing Patrick DePailler's Ligier at Kyalami, it's my first one so I recorded it. I am thinking of recreating the Villeneuve/Arnoux battle at Dijon next The Renault Turbo makes a nice noise I can throw the Renault round Kyalami in 1m10.7s and the cars slide nicely too, if anyone likes GPL you'll like the 79mod

Another one turned to the dark side, just check out everything available so far in terms of mods on www.rfactorcentral.net and what's in the pipeline to be released.

Like all ISI engine based games it has a PLR file so just like GTR and GTL everything can be configured to suit all tastes of handling, game running and controls. Plus in the new update there's a new auto-FPS function where you can set the minimum FPS you want (say 30FPS) and if it falls to it during play it automatically reduces details to maintain 30+ fps. Not tried it yet but sounds very useful.
