360 for me

Only way PS3 could lure me over is to have better online support, which going by sony's current track record isn't likely.

Got the 360 already (about to go back to MS to get fixed), will probably get the PS3 also, but not at launch (wait for the next GT, with, no doubt, broken Polyphony Digital promises of "bikes", "car damage" and "improved A.I." )

Live is a huge bonus for 360, as Sony's online support for PS2 has been abysmal. Rumour has it they're working on a system for PS3 that is basically a carbon copy of xbox Live in all but name - if you can't bet 'em, eh?

To be honest. Play now... or wait.

All arguments aside which one do you want to play this weekend? Answer that and if you say 360 go show the shop the fibre of your fabric.

£420 or so I think.

Entitlements ,'live', the PS3 button, motion sensing controllers, real time weapons switching, GIANT CRABS in authentic historic games, turn them over for MASSIVE damage, RIIIIDGE RACER!!!

So far Sony are 100% lacking in imagination, producig an overpriced console with underdeveloped dev kits & hard to code for CPU's, which they've recently (probably) reduced the speed of, expensive unnessacary (and SLOW)BR disks.

As yet they havnt even made one (lack of HDMI1.3 chips, bluray lasers, Cell CPU's ect), with sonys marketing it may work, but there hasnt been a more dissapointing console launch for ages.

As for games, performance, and graphicaly they will be practicaly the same, so on that basis buy the one that has moe of the exclusive titles you want.

360 has a number of great games already.

Jesus that is a downer. I was thinking the ps3 would be the absolute best console ever. All my 360 games are crap now anyway except for perhaps fight night (chrome hounds I just bought is absolute shit flipping sega megadrive graphics almost), I even prefer gotham racing 2 on the xbox to the 360 version and I prefer gt4 on the ps2 to both of those.

Gameplay & fun very rarely have anything to do with the raw power of the system.

I'll be waiting for the cost reduced (to manufacture, not consumer) 360 with the better core chip which shouldn't need as much fan power to cool it. This should give a quieter machine, and hopefully more stable on the second revision. Might also be some decent games out for it by then and be able to pick some up second hand.

May venture down the PS3 route purely for Final Fantasy series.

In the meantime, I'll be getting a Wii and downloading loads of the Nintendo back catalogue

This is incredible, 400k for the US launch and only 100k for Japan. What the hell are they playing at, they should just delay it until March when they'll have around 6M units available and can have a civilized launch... there will be carnage at this rate (especially on eBay)

I think it's hilariuos, they spent all that time having a pop at Microsoft for not being able to manage a worldwide launch and not having enough consoles ready, etc, etc.......................and now they have done even worse, in fact, they haven't managed to do it at all rofl

hahaha fantastic news from sony there. Just like the good old days for Europe huh!!
MS may have completely screwed up the launch of the 360 by doing US, Europe & Asia so close together but at least it meant some hardcore fans in each Continent could learn new games at the same time. So when you went online you wouldn't get your ass handed to you everytime. For the PS3 we'll all be playing catchup!
I was dead set on pre-ordering a PS3 but none of the games really appeal to me bar the new GT. So i'll probably hold fire until xmas 2007 when hopefully the price will drop.
