On Gran Turismo 4
there seems to be this thing called the wheelie trick

what is it and how do you execute it (i know that it gets you to about 400 mph but that's all i know)

also i have recently aquired the game and have yet to get the 25% completion in order to race the endurance races...are the 24 hour races ACTUALY 24 "real" hours or do you race until the next day in the game???

(i dare not ask that on the IGN boards because it might end up something like this)

I think that was in GT3. I haven't seen anything in GT4 about it.

Yes, they are really 24 hours long. Fortunately you can use your B spec driver to do most of it providing you have a good enough car. There's no way to save it mid way through and come back to it later either.

the wheelie trick was for the pikes peak car, you could set the suspension etc to make the car pop a wheelie, and do some stupid speed, not sure if the settings would be the same on GT4 though.
Best advice for the 24hour race, is to do the proper qualifying, to make sure you are first, and then race through the first 2 pits stops on A-spec, for some reason B-spec bob won't drive at the cars vmax on Le Sarthe, but A-spec will, so you cna get up a pretty healthy lead on the rest of the cars, and stick hard tyres on the back too

just found this too

Go to Toyota's classic cars and purchase the Toyota GT-ONE Race Car (TS020) for 4,500,000 credits. Buy everything available for the car including the R5 racing tires. Once you have purchased and souped it up, go to the Power and Speed Icon in the top right corner of the map. Select "Driving Park". Then, select MAX Top Speed Challenge to the right, but go backwards on the track. After the loading screen, go to settings (little tool box). Equip and set the following: Tires R5, Nitrous (set the value to 50), Turbine Kit (Stage 4), Suspension (Racing); set the spring rate and the ride height to the lowest possible value (4.0) and (55) respectively; full Customizable Transmission (set the final gear to a value of 3.000) and the (Auto to 25), Driving Aids, (set all three to 0), Down Force (set front to 38 and rear to 88); and leave everything else stock. When you enter the track, accelerate as usual, but go backwards. Wait until you are on the back stretch to use the nitrous to get it over 360 mph and into a wheelie. As you round the last corner leading into the beginning of the back stretch, hit the nitrous and watch the nose of the car and the speedometer rise.

just keep doing the german touring car races on B-spec, you win the CLK GTR thingy that you can sell for 600k or something like that
