Depends how good you are with the sniper rifle and/or torque bow. Two options we used when we did it in insane:
1: Torque Bow him to disperse the Kryll and then sniper headshot him to death.
2: Just wait until he sends the Kryll at you and then sniper/machine gun his ass!
The flying dudes are the variables, as sometimes they'll take you out, but at others they hardly get a look in.

You're not going through the game any more, you're at the end.
RAAM is a tough nut to crack. Shoot him with your torquebow to disperse the Krill, then shoot him.

No I can't be. if so either I have lost time or played when pissed or its a bloody short game?
Yes you are at the end and yes it is a bloody short game

For the guy on the train, you have to get him on the third carriage and pull the pin out of the coupling thing. The he just slows down off into the distance.
Or get him next to the fuel tanks and blow them up.
I think!!!!!

That's the beserker at the start(ish) of the level. Remal has reached the end of the game and needs to fight RAAM.

I really should buy a game before I try and tell people how to play it. Hmm, I really should get a 360 as well.

As some of the lads have said earlier it is a damn short game, but most people when the finish it on casual then go through it all again on hardcore setting and if you get through that you've always insane (much easier to play online via co-op with a mate playing as Dom etc).
Anyhoo, back to the subject in hand, General Raam:-
As said above already, he's protected by Kryll which fly around him so you have to disperse the Kryll to get a pop at him directly. If you have the Torquebow pop a couple at him until the Kryll disperse and then switch to Sniper rifle and get as many headshots into him before the Kryll get back to him (use the wall directly infront of you as you enter the open carriage setting as your new home for the first 2-3mins of this final sequence). If you get nailed, duck behind the wall until safe to come up and repeat the above sequence (remember Raam will move around - he basically will go from one side of the carriage to the other in space of first min or so and then slowly make his way up towards you), so by the time he's getting close to you you're no doubt bricking yourself and wondering how many times you have to hit him - lets just say standing up and unloading a few clips won't work, you have to lure him as close to the wall as possible, you can do the duck and hit fire trigger to shoot a number of rounds over the wall to give you a little bit of a chance, but when you feel he's just about to come round the end of the wall and kill you, make a run for it round the other side of the wall and down through the carriages - you're heading for the Troika next in the centre of the carriage waaaaaay down there...
Once you get to it you've a choice, you can either try going with the Troika (which makes you very vulnerable to some popshots of the Locust variety), or hopefully you're a decent enough aim with the sniper rifle that you didn't send 15 nice shiny shells into the countryside earlier on this sequence. I normally use the Troika nest as cover, come up the stairs a little and headshots with the Sniper rifle are again the peoples choice, unload a handful or so into him and you'll be treated to the endgame sequence of Raam dying.
Then get your butt back into the game on Hardcore setting and see that the game isn't as easy as you first thought when playing on Casual setting as everything now seems to have been on the steroids since you last encountered them, and if you really want to see how hard it gets have a pop at the insane version
Enjoy...
Managed it eventually on Insane the other day, Dom is totally useless when controlled by the computer so you're usually on your own after about 10 seconds, torque bow him all you can and stay where you are after the cut scene finishes, if you move over to the far right of the concrete barrier you're hiding behind you'll be half in the light and half in the dark, which confuses the Kryll and they hover around you much longer.
Eventually Raam will make his way over to you and just stand there pointing at you, not shooting you but you'll still take damage from the kryll around him, now is the time to blind-toss a grenade close by to disperse the kryll, once they go you should blind fire with the lancer at Raam until they come back, keep doing this until he goes down. Provided you got enough torque bow shots off and shot at him plenty before he got over to you it shouldn't take too long to take him down.

Thanks for all the info so far!
Just completed on casual thanks to the above advice. and now I'm trying hardcore.
I am stuck at the section when you are trying to find the stranded people. moving down a narrow section where you can push a car. the troika keeps on getting me! (he tells baird its not over yet - if that helps?)
if anybody even knows where I am or can help it would be much appreciated!
thanks
Tom

I struggled here for a bit. I eventually pushed the car - legged it left into the alley (stay in the light) and then grenaded the chap in the house on the left (looking down the alley) then I moved slowly back out onto the "high street" There was an area where he Troike couldn't shoot me, so I grenaded and shot the gunner. Then heal Dom and press on.

Your other option is to hang back at the point you re-spawn into at this point, as you have the option of staying right back where you killed the boomer right before hitting the checkpoint where you are now, or advancing forward to various positions (i.e. over bridge towards the troika).
The advantage of staying back here is that you not only becoming a harder target for all the different locusts etc and have longer to react to them approaching you, but you also have an ammo box in the furthest right corner as you look away from the troika, and another round the alleyway which you came from - don't lift them until you have hardly any ammo left otherwise you're wasting the massive ammo upload you can get from them
Staying back here should allow you to take out everything bar the troika gunner, or if you have the sniper rifle in your weapons backpack then you should be able to take this guy out too. I normally command Dom to regroup and stay beside me until it gets to a point where there's a few locusts approaching quickly at which point he gets the attack command to go meet them head on (normally to die too, but he's easily revived).
If you are unable to take out the troika gunner from the far distance, once you've got rid of the rest use the pushable car to get close enough to lob in a frag or pick him off with the machine gun
I've used the above option on insane (single player - not co-op) and got through it first time...
