Shipped one in for the Mrs for Christmas... cough, it was for her honestly.
Absolutely bloody brilliant, so much fun. Especially when pissed up
Bowling...
Best game imo, the detail and accuracy is amazing compared to the real thing. The ability to start a ball off right on the edge and bring it back into the pocket for a strike is fab.
Tennis...
The Mrs has managed to fox me here by serving extremly fast. Smoke showing behing the ball etc. She won't tell me how she does it, any ideas ?
Baseball... How do you hit it the bloody ball!!!
Golf... really sensative on the old putting
Boxing... still waiting for a nunchuck to have a go
Anyone got any good tips on Wii Sports ?
I must say a cricket game using the Wii would be awesome

Totally agree buddy - been playing the wii sports all Christmas, it's great!
Regarding the fast tennis serve, you must hit the ball at EXACTLY the moment it reaches the top of it's travel. It's slightly earlier than you think but after a while you get used to it. No buttons need to be hit at all!!!
My sister-in-law's dad is a semi-pro bowler and has had a go at the bowling - he got 225 straight away and said it was a flipping great game, very realistic!
However, my left arm after about 20 continuous hours of playing is fairly buggered

I don't think it's anywhere near as good as the bowling, for example. Where in the bowling you really feel like you're controlling the ball, in the boxing I don't think you're as in control. Good fun, but only played it a couple of times...so don't be too worried about not having a nunchuck yet.
What I CANT wait for though........light saber with a nunchuck?! I think that would be the coolest thing alive. Ever.
Been playing sports all Christmas. Wife bought one for me and I thought it was just for kids. It is fabulous for all ages. The bowling is very nicely done as is the tennis. Got up to skill level 1585 and beat opponents with skill levels of 2000 and 1900. The sense of satisfaction was disturbingly high.
My bro's manage to link it up to all of our friends with Wii's. The wii has wireless, so hooks up to the internet very easily with your wireless broadband. It then stays on all the time and your 'Miis' can mingle with all your friends mii's, and eventually when some games are released that you can play online, it's very easy to play multiplayer.

another Christmas alone eh Tony

You wait until you get Rayman, using the nunchuck you have to shake the nunchuck up and down to keep a constant flow of carrot juice (yes, carrot juice). It ain't pretty

Happy New Year, fella Quite worryingly, I did that while my brother was aiming the squirt gun, and I had taken my new girlfriend around their house to meet them. How NOT to impress new said girl is to show wanking prowess fit for a monk with a wii nunchuck, and then dance to the Rayman dancey thing (ever seen those dance studio things in clubs? Not too dissimilar to them). I swear all my cool points that night were well and truly lost
And a very Happy New Year to you too, my good man...

...but I'll ring him in a minute and let you know.
Ok just rung the Bro, and while on the phone I typed this......
--------------------------
Go into wii settings on main front page (in main wii menu….bottom left).
Within there there's an internet setting you can link it up to your wireless router. You need to download the internet explorer (download it using the wii) to give you a browser if you want one. Once you've linked it into your router, that you need to go into your wii message board (bottom right of page). Within there you click 'connect friend", and it says 'register'. At that point it tells you YOUR wii number (a 16 or so digit number). This is the number you give to your friends which will alllow them to 'add' you. You need this number from YOUR friends which they find in the same way, and then at the point of clicking 'register' click on the logo on the left (the wii), and at that point you can put in your friend's 16 digit number, you're then added.
Once that's all done, in your 'mii' people, when you create them you have to choose "mingle", and this allows them to be migrated across and allow you to play on other people's. This means that you will see your friend's people in the crowds or playing baseball for you, stuff like that. Online gaming is on the way though.
---------------
it might not be a 16 digit number, might be 12, but you get the idea; a bloody long number. All the above was from memory (he's in Tescos at the moment) so they might not be the exact names or the exact locations, but you get the clue of where to go and where to look. Hope it helps
