Just got GTL and G25.

In GTL the FF effects option page only shows the ACT Labs and Microsoft Sidewinder wheels (top right of page) even though it knows the G25 is connected (it's shown top left). The G25 is too recent for GTL to have settings for, but why doesn't it list the momo racing wheel which is a logitech force wheel and presumably would be a closer match for force feedback(?). Any idea how to get it? Btw, the momo racing wheel is listed in the GTL's vocabulary text document.

try selecting the default FF wheel and setting the effects force to -100% (I think, check with someone who actually has a G25, or at least a logitech wheel).

Sorry about that...what an idiot. It does say momo racing, but it's just above what I thought was the wheel options. rolleyes

It's much better now. You can really feel the wheel unloading with the gas when the wheels aren't straight.

Regarding the the G25 H-shifter; it works as long as you're precise. The trouble is that there's as much sideways slop in the 2nd/3rd slot as there is distance between it and the 1st/2nd slot. So I've found myself going from 3rd to 4th when attempting 3rd to 2nd. And because the whole action is very lose, with no real forces involved, you have to be deliberate about engaging the stick right into the end of a slot or you'll end up in neutral while trying to slow down for a corner - which can lead to disappointment. Probably just need to get used to it.

All in all though, it's really good with GTL.
