Well got my wii at christmas. Everyone told me to buy zelda but it had never interested me before. I finally gave in and traded in some of my 360 games for zelda and it is one of the best games i have ever played. Its fun and enjoyable.

Anyone enjoying zelda and would you rate it as one of the best games?

Nik

Top notch gameage, spent all my Christmas hols on it and finished it after 52hrs. Quite hard for me to remain impartial though when it comes to Zelda as i've been a massive fan since the SNES days.

Actually, a lot of longtime Zelda fans say the game really drags for the first 2-3 hours, then the pace really starts to pick up. I'll eventually get around to play it when I find a Wii!

Sadako's about 8 - 9 hours in to the game... from the guide it seems he's about 50% though. Personally I'm not even at the first dungeon yet hehe

It's a huge game, and the swines have but the first Zelda game on the download channel...

I doubt he'd be 50% of the way through it at 9 hours in, reckon the bare minimum to complete it would be about 35hrs and you'd have to concentrate solely on the main quest to do that, ignoring any other side quests and exploration.

Maybe then, I did go and do everything at 52hrs, found every last heart piece and so-on. Just wouldn't have thought that you could do the whole lot in much under 30hrs, especially on your first run through, unless you were following a guide religiously.

Interesting. I wonder if that means by simply playing Zelda from start to finish if the console has, effectively paid for itself. Something like FEAR had between 8 - 10 hours of solid play and cost about £30. So 10x30 = £300. Wii bundles seem to be about the £250 mark (give or take) so yep. The console has just paid for itself

66p an hour.

Seems like value to me.

However, compare that with Mario Kart on the Famicom.

£25 for literally thousands and thousands of man hours play time.

Nintendo truly do reign the playability roost.

Personally, the Wii's only short fall to my mind is that none of the inital batch of games have any form of on-line play. True Zelda is 1 player only (I doubt player 2 would like being Midna or Epona hehe) but playing Wii sports against people on-line would be a blast

But yes, Nintendo's in house eople have always got the playability aspect right, considering some of the atrocious crud that appears from other publishers... you think they'd take notes.
