I've had enough of just doing boring old laps of the ring. So this could bring a bit of fun back into GT4 for a bit.

GT4 Ring challenge of the week using a TVR T350C

If anyone would like to join in on the challenge the rules are. It must be a new car brought from the garage with no oil changes or mods. Only thing you can change is driving aids and thats it. That should keep everything on a level playing field. Winner of the week get to chose next weeks challenge in GT4

My time was 7'52.840

OK

First lap, 7' 58.149, not a good lap though and I know I can go faster than that. Although there was no grassy excursions!

Question though, why does the TVR sound like a hoover? DId the game designers even drive a TVR?

The engine sounds are awful aren't they. I can't drive some of the cars because of the sound they make gets on my nerves. The T350 sounds nothing like the real thing does it.

How will that work then? : o
One car glued to the track and another harder to control than Brat Campers on acid!

Brat Campers on acid

I can do a faster lap with everything turned off as you can take corners alot faster without the poxie driver aids taking over all the time.

So if you think you can do a faster lap with them on then go ahead and turn them on

You can use it in automatic as well.

7'46.689 Staight out of the showroom, didn't alter the traction settings and stayed in automatic ( I just can't use the manual option). But that was using the logitech steering wheel and six cans of carling.

7:56.836 on the first lap

new lap.... 7:47.800 still slightly shoddy

TC 1, US 2, OS 0

there is something seriously wrong with the setup of that car, gearing all wrong (max 156 please!) and the back end wants to step out every time you brake!

Possibility of another 0.5s with a decent clear run, and some more dependiing on set up. Completly unmodified car and just ran it as I found it.

7.46:332 new lap still shoddy in places.

if you drive it from the showroom then it is running sport medium tyres which are different from which other people are using which i think is road tyres. this will make a huge difference in lap times.

Which is a bit odd, as it sounded much better in GT4 Prologue, complete with smooth auto box shifts.
