Just downloaded the Nordschleife from rFactorcentral, however when I then launch rFactor the track is not available. I have saved the track into various locations now under c:\program files\rfactor and still no sign.

Any thoughs on what the problem might be?

If the file has a Readme, check it. Often it explains what to do.

This is where all mine go..

I:Games R-FACTOR GameData Locations

Assuming the default location is program files (i always change my default installs), just look for the gamedata - locations folder and paste in the single yellow folder with the track name.

Which version is it as I believe theres a couple on there?

One version I've got (Filename = rFactor_Nordschleife1.0.exe) is in the from of an executable, so to install that all you do is run it and point it to the location of your main rfactor folder.

The other is in a Win Rar archive. (Nordschleife2006_RK.rar) To use this you'll need the WinRar program to extract the files. www.rarlab.com/download.htm

Then you need to open the file in Winrar.

That'll show a folder called Nordschleife_Rk. double click on that and it'll show a folder called locations. You can then either drag that to your main rfactor folder or press on extract with the folder highlighted and point the program to your main rfactor folder.

If this is the version you have already attempted to install, at a guess I think you may have extracted it into locations with it still being in the Nordschleife_rk folder. If this is the case go into your locations folder, find the folder named Nordschleife_rk, and double click on it. That'll show a folder called locations. Double click on that to reveal a folder called Nuerberg. Right click on that and press cut. Then go back to your locations folder and press paste. Say yes when it asks about overwriting files, (As far as I remember it won't overwrite anything.) and it should then be installed.

Hopefully at least some of this will be helpful!

If it's the latest and greatest track version Nordschleife All Road v1.0 By: raceking, gringosan.

then it has to be extracted into the existing LocationsNuerburg folder as it uses ISI's modern GP track for the layout.
