If we could change the track, I'd be interested. As is usually the case for me, I can't get the Ring All Road track to work.

just make sure the folders in the rar file match up with the folders in your rfactor directory. they are probably installed in a folder in your rfactor directory called Nordschleife2006_AR or something.

Everytime I click on JOIN, I get a pause and then an empty server browers loads up and the message "Matchmaker Not Responding" (or something similar) is displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Anyone else getting this?

In my settings the match server is:

match.rfactor.net

However I CAN ping match.rfactor.net from a command prompt. confused

Anyone able to offer any help...

EDIT:- Looks like I'm nor the only one then scratchchin

Last time it happened to me, I had to wait a day or two and it just seemed to fix itself.

I think there has been a power problem where ever they are. No one seems to be able to conenct no matter where they are.

Too bad we don't know where the power cut is because anyone in that area can't post anything because they have no power...

Can you make changes to the rFactor directory with rFactor minimized and have them taken place when you maximize it again? - Still working on this bloody track!

I find it quite poor that a game which relies on the Internet for much of it's appeal is so suseptable to a server going down. Surley there should be backup servers dotted all over the place incase of such problems rolleyes

In these sort of cases and unlike Simbin you can connect to your server IP to IP, if you know the servers IP address and you don't have to go through the lobby or racecast.

1. Hit the blue + sign in the top left of the matchmaker window.
2. Type in the IP - i.e. - 111.11.11.111
3. Hit accept.
4. It should search for the game, and come up with the server in the matchmaker window.
5. Join it just like a regular server.

Instead of being rather poor I think that's rather good

Can someone help some more with this install.

The way it is packed seems really wierd.

Nordschleife2006_RK.rar/Nordschleife_RK/Nordschleife_RK/Locations/Nuerburg

Is this right?

Right unpack it to your desktop. navigate though the folders until you get to the contents of the Nuerburg folder.

Now open up your rFactor folder and go to the locations folder within, open up the Nuerburg folder in there and drag & drop everything from your desktop Neurburg folder into it.

(some of the people who create these add-on installs are just idiots and have no idea they are giving some people headaches)

You folder should then look something like this.

All you have to do in the future is look for relevant rfactor folder names in the RAR file, you should be able to work it out from there.

As mentioned because some people rush these out at 3am in a frenzy of "...finished this bloody thing at long last...now to upload it" the pack the track up from whatever backup folder they have it stored in and most of the time has unnecessary folders in the packed file.

Assuming rFactor matchamking is now working, does anybody want to do the proposed race this evening?

FWD, thanks for the screenshot. Mine is the exact same though and it still doesn't work. Is the Porsche significantly more demanding of graphics cards etc then other cars?
