What good strategy games are there available for the 360? I am aware C&C3 is just on the horizon but I would like something now.

Is there anything like Company of Heros for the PC?

If you want to play good strategy games buy a PC.

For the last few years I have always (except for a short break when my X Box died before I bought a 360) had a console for driving/FPS games and a PC for strategy ones.

I've really got into Earth 2160 recently. I got it 14 months ago, played through the single player storyline mode then ignored it. But I'm really enjoying the skirmish mode. Command and Conquer revisited! Great graphics on it too.

This is on PC - I can't imagine a strategy game is that good to play on a 360. Anything other than a mouse would be a pain in the butt and too slow, and you're best off being close up to the screen in a decent resolution.

If you like C&C-type RTS games, Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II may be worth a try for you. It's very similar to the C&C gather resources/build a base/raise any army model.

Or alternatively, if you already have Rome: Total war, some very capable and dedicated people have brought out a (free) mod for it - where all the races are present, the map is redesigned etc.

It's not out on the 360 though, surely? The OP was asking about titles for the 360 rather than PC.

(It goes without saying that R:TW - and the TW series generally - is a must-have if you're a PC owner and looking for a good strategy game!)

Yeh I see your point was going OT from Pentoman's impetus...

Yes sorry for the hijack.

Viva pinata is sort of strategy for the 360 isn't it?
