I've just discovered the Crackdown demo on live - and it is absolutely hilarious with co-op on live. it's definitely a grower, but once you've worked out the levelling up system it is endless fun.

if you have tried it has anyone been up to the top of the agency tower? amazing. my housemate and i spent all weekend trying to get up there on two stars for agility (this won't make sense to those who haven't played it.. but trust me it's great) and once we eventually got to the top i kicked him off
it took a good 10 seconds for him to reach the ground

The Agency towers the one with the red searchlights on top? if so then me and my bro climbed it although we had 4 agility stars!
Have you got to level 4 on driving skill? the agency supercar literally turns into the batmobile!!

not experimented with the driving yet, mainly agility, strength and explosives. batmobile looks cool though I've seen some images online. best moment for me so far was going barreling up to a bad guy at full tilt, screech to a halt, got out of the car and threw it at him! 
only in crackdown.. 
levelling up wise in simple terms the more you do something the better you get at it. for example you start being able to jump about 5 feet in the air, if you go jumping around the rooftops collecting 'agility orbs' you level up one star (jumps 15 feet) two star (30 feet) and so on. in the demo the levelling up is accelerated compared to the real game so it gets very fun very quickly. it is well worth persevering - i was massively underwhelmed initially but my housemate mate me get into it and when you realise just how much scope there is to have fun it just 'clicks'. and then there is no going back
if you really can't get on with it as a last ditch effort i recommend you get to at least 2 stars on explosives and start playing with the limpet bomb thingies..

I thought it was a possible invitation to the halo beta rather than guaranteed?
I dunno - its somewhat confusing (on purpose) - but it appears to be an invite to download the Beta version of the Halo 3 multiplayer.
Now, whether they are limiting the downloads to the first xxx who download it or not, I dont know...
and the halo business is completely tbc in terms of when you will actually be able to do anything with it apparently ie months not weeks..
for now im buying it purely for the ability to jump down off a skyscraper and throw my mates car in the sea with him in it
