Has anyone got one and what is it like?

I'm just getting into GTR (not GTR2 sadly) and wonder if the Logitech would be worth the money for this particular game.

(sorry if this is a re-post)

Seriously you will love it.

My only gripe is that I now need to construct some kind of platform for the pedals so they are at a more realistic, and comfy angle. The chair im on is quite high so its like driving a bus
(nothing to wrong at all about the G25, just my furniture).

I heard somewhere the gear lever is loud when changing?
Or have been hearing things again?

No doesn't seem to be, I think the steering is quite loud when you're trying to yank it back the opposite way.

Thanks for the info chaps. I'm new to the GTR thing and have found it totally absorbing even with my useless xbox style controller so a G25 should complete the experience.

No it wont, you'll want a racing seat afterwards, then a full on hydrolics system

True. Although it will be cheaper to just start taking my real car on track!

hehe possibly...
Hydrolics system is probably around 2k I guess, and you dont have the risk of hitting another car or barrier !

I'd love to have one one day but nothing beats real life.

I wouldn't say it was loud but it makes a click every time you change gear (in gated mode). There's plenty of videos of folk using them on youtube if you want to hear it.

Saw something like that. It was a Mechwarrior 4 Arcade machine and the seat moves when the walking of the robots legs and when you wer hit it all recoiled from where you were hit etc... Great fun if only slightly geeky.
