Can anybody help me out on this? Am I right in thinking you have to complete all other courses before you can enter the GT world C'ship? I have just completed the 1st of the 1000 miles championship on the Nurburgring, and it has taken me 2 FECKING DAYS in a bloody 1970 Corvette that handles like a grand piano! There is another 4 races to go yet, about 99 laps each. Surely I don't have to endure this shit to get into the W C'ship. I have completed just about everything else, please tell me there is a cheat or something. I think my head will explode before my PS2 and then my right thumb will cease to work too..... Arrrrrgh weeping

erm... I did the (Euro hall?) "1000 miles" last of all. I had completed everything else by then and left it till last as i couldnt be arsed. So no, you can do the GT world Championships earlier (I think that is only locked by licence status?)

The annoying thing about x3 is that everytime the car pits, it comes out of x3.

if you run it overnight, it doesn't matter, should be finished by the time you get up

you've lost me a bit with the x3 sh1t, but I think I know what you mean. I haven't been to explorative with the b-spec mode and all that, so I'll have a go at that. I have all the licenses I think, but still couldn't get into the world c'ship. Will update if I survive the boredom, Thanks chaps....

Have you got a car that's eligible?
If you have you must not have the licence for that particular race series

IIRC there aren't any championships that require you to win another one first

It just says 'you must first win all beginner and professional events'. I thought I had but there must be some other events in countries that I haven't won yet. I'll have a scan through the licenses again too. Trouble is, now I'm in the 1000miles I can't go into anything else without aborting! Bugger.

Well that obviously means that there is a race or 2 in the "beginner" &/or "professional" halls that you havent completed. It is not refering to manufactuers or country halls as I did the 1000miles event as the very last race to get 100% completion.

I had already done the GT World championship so had completed the rated halls in order (all the "Beginner hall" races, then all the "Professional hall" then etc). After the "rated" halls I then pretty much did things in what ever order I fancied.

I once tried B spec to run one of the long Le Mans races. Returned to the game some time later to check on its progress to find my car off track repeatedly driving into a barrier, had to restart the race. This happened more than once. Possibly a bug on that particular race program.

I know that's what I thought, but I have been through it umpteen times to double check.
I must be bloody thick though. I never knew you could use the B-spec mode. Well, I didn't bother to look to see what it was to be fair. I am currently watching my car happily fly round the course on its own. Only 92 more laps to go......

You're gonna be annoyed though when you finish those laps and find you still can't enter the world championship...

...Just checked on GT world and it states that entry to the GT world champ is dependent on you completing the Begineer and Proffesional halls (and nothing to do with the country or manufacturer events). Still, you gotta complete these anyway, so no time like the present

I know it's a right bummer. I can't go out of the 1000 miles without aborting, and Im on to the third race now. I somehow managed to come 2nd in the Cote d'Azure because I had it set on medium pace thinking that would be enough - with a 570bhp Corvette against a Fiat thingy and a '69 Elan! Miffed when I saw the money raking into my account on screen and I had come 2nd. Getting on my tats a bit now like............

More likely your B-Spec Bob was inexperienced in the type of car you'd asked him to drive and/or you hadn't set the car up for him properly. Mine has a different driving style to me and requires a different setup, particularly brake bias. If I run him with my brake bias he always spins off but doesn't if I adjust it to suit him.

Well, you were right Civ! I completed the 1000miles on 'autopilot' and checked through all beginner and prof events, and I had won all the races. What said dickhead failed to investigate was that I hadn't entered the Tuning cars championship, but had won the races individually. On the overview of all the races it just shows gold trophies all over the place, you have to actually go into each race to discover whether you won the c'ship! irked

At least I can now go into the GT world c'ship.... 15 months after starting the bloody game party

I can confirm as correctly pointed out further up, you don't need the 1000 miles to get onto the GT WC's, just my poor eyesight and lack of intuition meant it took me months to fathom!! rolleyes

I'll try and let you know what I used for my races in the under 3400mm class.
