All things considered, it looks like the best time to get a PS3 will be four - five years time when Asda sell them for £50 a pop along with a bunch of games thrown in... just as the PS4 appears.

Mine is pre-ordered, and this doesnt bother me at all. I still have a ps2 for ps2 games.

edit: and here it says it will play soem ps2 titles, and a broad range of ps1 titles. bit-tech are very anti-sony, so its not surprising they gave it such a nasty edge.

looks like Xbox have won the battle already if Sony doesnt correct this, on the development side having different spec platforms to make a game for will be a pain in the ass, if sony dont do a U turn with this I fear they have handed the console war to microsoft.

This was always going to happen, but sony was supposed to wait untill they had a working softwaer emulator rather than drop the HW early..

No wonder they forced companies into ruin to stop people importing PS3's, bend over europe, sony's commin!

It's £425 too!! If you have a crap PC, you could upgrade it to play the very latest games (which are usually half the price of console games) for less than the cost of the over-priced toaster-esque console!
