especially as xb0x 360 graphics seem just as good if not better, there are more games and its nearly £200 cheaper?
Because it also has an inbuilt ready to go blu-ray player. When you factor in the cost of the HD-DVD accessory for the 360, the prices aren't actually too far apart.

I don't give a shit. You like your 360 - fair enough, I know it's a good machine and for you obviously fun to play. But I hate the controller and half of the games (Halo, etc) don't appeal to me. I like my shiny, expensive, PS3 thanks - do you care? Didn't think so.

I am fortunate enough to be able to buy whatever i want and have had virtually every games console going. I was asking a genuine question about what killer app games are coming out on the PS3 and so far there seems to be very very little.
Killer app games tend to make a games machine, PC-type or console, successful.
These are games that make you want to go out and buy a machine..Every good machine has them..the ps2 had gta and granturismo.
I just want to know whats on the horizon that is going to make me want to buy the machine?

In 2-3 years you'll be able to get a blu-ray player for £40 in Tesco. The news from the states is that HD-DVD has already won the format war and in any case Blu Ray is full of copy protection which isn't the end users best friend.

I don't care what consoles you have, have had, what you can afford to buy, and what you want to buy. I don't need to convince you to buy PS3 - I don't care what you buy. I'll buy what I want, which is a PS3. If you don't want it - fine. You don't see the attraction - fine. I can see what the future is going to be like with PS3, and want to be at the forefront of it.

Apparently the US porn industry has adopted HD-DVD so its game over, just like how VHS succeeded (which was also inferior to Betamax and Video2000).
