what do i need to get on the net with the xbox 360? will the free online thing u get with it allow me to download forza 2(the free online thing for 30 days or something)?
i have wireless internet in the house,if i plug the xbox into the wireless box with the cable supplied with the xbox will it work or do i have to have a wireless adaptor from microsoft? if i need a wireless adaptor can i use the one from the laptop? it plugs in to the ladtop with the usb port and then has a small box at the other end?

I think that is quite brilliant. I've done about ten laps, using the wheel, which has sublime FF implementation.

I managed 1'03"648 in a F430 with all assists off.

I can't comment on 'how' accurate it is, as I unfortunately can't compare it to real life, but I'm very impressed with it's feel.

You can plug into a wireless network router with the cable supplied with the 360 - the premium (with the HDD) gives you one months free Gold, which will allow you to get the demo. You can also buy the wireless adaptor if you wish, but I think it's a rip off, I'd recommend getting a long Cat5 cable if the one with the machine won't reach, as it'll be cheaper and faster.

If you can stretch your budget to get the FF Steering Wheel I recommend it.

IIRC you can download games and demos with a silver account. The difference is that Gold lets you play online.

Unfortunately, I think they implemented a delay to downloadable demos for Silver accounts, so he may not be able to download the demo for a week or so. You can get free one month 'Gold' codes with a lot of games nowadays - if you haven't got one, I'm sure someone can offer one - I have a few kicking about that I can supply.

Let me prefix by saying that I'm not a great fan of car racing sims, and normally end up in the kitty litter ...

The attention to detail around the track is impressive - lots of 3D spectators, spectator cars parked up, fences etc.

The audio seems quite good - I seemed to hear more of the competitors noise than I'd expected though.

There doesn't seem to be a windscreen/A-pillar (TDU / PGR) in-car view - only a bonnet view.

The grass seems to be very solid - I appear to be able to overtake quite easily with two wheels off the track.

Not sure that I'll buy the full game - only because I'll get bored of it.

I've sent it via email - for obvious reasons.

Hopefully it will work - it isn't entirely clear in the T&Cs that all demos are made available with the 48hr trial code.
