How good is Forza 2 game?

I’m thinking about getting a 360 just for this game, as GT5 is way off. Is it real that good, or should i just bung £300 at the pc and enjoy GTR2? Forza 2 looks good and i like what can be done with the cars.
Is the 360 that rubbish that they seem to last a year, and then die? Or have they fixed that problem (not from what I’ve heard).

rFactor is better just because people have made soo many tracks and cars, and its constantly growing.
Ok the graphics aren't the best, but with the Logitech G25 you will NOT be dissapointed in any way whatsoever.
There are quite a few good games on the 360 now, so I think its worth getting one.
Get both.

Ditto. Forza2 is good enough that I cannot see myself turning on the PS2 again so its off to trade at the weekend.Ps. compared to rFactor it's no contest for me, Forza2 is better IMHO. Better graphics, much better physics and a better overall feel to the game.
In rFactor (which is very good indeed) you can download a new car package and enjoy racing about in some really nice** old cars, but there is no real purpose to the game beyond the next race, where Forza has the full on career mode that opens more of the game as you progress and hence motivates you to do better and continue playing.
Wanna break from career? No problem, go to arcade (which uses the same realistic physics) and drive any number of top flight cars all unlocked and ready to use. I can highly recomend the F40 & 997GT3
- Although I guess in rFactor the physics are dependant on who programmed the download car you are driving, which is the final problem I've always had with rFactor, you never know what you are going to get, some cars are great, others not so. In Forza2 all the cars handle so very differently but I havent found a dog yet due to a totally solid and consistant batch of programming. Everything feels right.

I've got a decent PC Rig and a 360, rFactor hasn't been run for a long time. Forza 2 is absolutley fantastic, i'm struggling to think of a game EVER that tops it.

Okay.... heres my take.
Firstly, yes, there are reports of overheating of 360's, though remember, people will jump and shout lots when it happens, those with no problems tend to say nothing... You get 12 months warranty, and hell, its not like PC's never crash
I've played the entire GT series since it began, and was never going to get an xbox, instead waiting for the PS3... though im glad i did get a 360 in the end.
Now, Forza 2 - it looks stunning, no really, those complaining about skinny tyres or lack of flames are spending too much time looking at it and not enough playing, the graphics are immense when your into the game.. they never detract from it.
Playability, simply awesome, huge, complex, so many ways to solve so many problems, the dynamics are incredible.
Choices of cars and tracks, again, immense.
the ways you can customise the car are immense too.
If you like driving games, you'll love it... simple.
