So anyway, the first night of Pistonhead Taxi car challenge got underway...
And all was looking good in the first corner of the first track, though you might want to pay special attention to the yellow car on the grass on the inside - i'd like this opportunity to introduce you to the Ralf Schumacher of PH, "oh my god", more on him later.

and, predictably, the neatness lasted, oh, a few seconds...

At this point, i'd like to point out, my car (the one with the red door and blue boot) I was just arriving at this accident, had nothing to do with it, and was collected by the aftermath (and needed a new engine, twice actually thanks to Civ and Ralf
)
But, as we got the hang of our slightly more powerful steeds, the close racing became (a little) cleaner..

But, then, after ramming his way to the front of the field in the 3rd race, not long after protesting at being given the nickname of 'Ralf', oh my god hit the straight of Mugello with me right behind him...

I was a good few metres distance behind , but he felt it nessacery to 'weave' to stop me getting into his slipstream...

Whereupon, he weaved straight onto the grass..

and then proceeded to....
well.
The pictures say it best.

It was an amazing sequence, he literally 'flew' over me, thankfully landing just behind me, and taking out the guy that was on my tail at the time...

Welcome to Pistonhead Taxi Challenge!
How on earth did that happen?

I'm buying the M3 now and doing it up just so I'm ready.
I think the frame of the bridge is what sent him flying though - the sequence was amazing, he literally flew over me, landing sideways behind me and taking out joy!
By the way, your voice messages were empty mate - couldnt hear a thing!

Great racing last night, Figits your lecture to 'Oh My God' on driver behaviour in racing will go down in history mate.. mainly for the fact that it lasted for all 6 laps of the race

I had much more trouble earlier on with another guy, forget his name but it began with L. He punted me off in the firt race with a questionable manouvre, he rejoined the track after an off, gave him plenty of room on the right of the track as I was approaching at easy double his speed, then just as I got to him he defended the lineby pulling hard left??? cue me head on into the wall at 150+mph.
Very next race, same track, fast right/left kink, Blade was in front by a good car length and a half, made the first right with a lift then turned into the left completely unaware that "L" had decided to straight line over the right (including the grass) and not bother braking at all for the left. Cue blade heading straight into the wall only to spin on track out of control for me to collect him, both our races over, "L" went on to win.
I called the manouver a "bit of a punt" only to get a torrent of abuse over the mike from "L".
Love this game but dont think I will race with him again given the choice.

To be honest Blade I dont think that Oh my God hit you at all, I saw you get brushed by the other white car as you ran slightly wide, I then kinda collected you both, but I really had no choice as I was on my way to the scene of a spin at the time
i didnt say "he" did!!!!! i never mentioned any names!!!
i love this game, see you all tonight
