So a full grid of hyundais set off for the first ever Pistonheads Forza rental car enduro challenge, and almost all of them finished, mostly without incident... most cars only having empty tanks, worn tyres and seriously dirty bodywork. as a nice gesture, the end of the race was a formation finish, with the front runners pausing for the pack to join up, so everyone would receive their prize money. All in all, a good natured clean and entertaining race, and worth repeating...

An amazingly clean race!!
Bar the first corkscrew pileup which left me needing the pits!!
Slightly deep with my breaking

But I get back online with a small nudge from Fidgets

Charge down to the next corner

Polarbart sees a 'gap'

Any then makes it a little larger!! The rest was like a game of pinball, which left me with a blown engine and a trip to the pits!

Other wise good fun...

- ahem*
Fantastic race though, and I still managed to come in 3rd

Shame the next one (Sebring with the M3's) wasn't as clean for me, getting a tap off Chocky in the first corner, and a much, much harder tap off Paul into the second... but I fought back from the back through a grid of broken cars, to arrive in 2nd, again without me hitting another car...
so

hey, as you say, its just a game, its a good laugh - and yeah, your always going to have 'racing incidents' - its just good fun when you can verbally abuse the person that punted you off

Yeah, that was my fault - my apologies to all concerned for ruining your concentration by reminding you of this...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nC4Mo_vEWY

Slightly deep with my breaking (There is "slightly deep" and the is "intentionally Cutting the corner". this appears the latter as "slightly deep" would have sent you understeering to the right)

But I get back online with a small nudge from Fidgets (No choice it seems as you would have shot across his nose out of control. You are visibly trying to bring the speed down with your brakes on whilst the blakc car got his corner right and at this point would have been back on the throttle)

Charge down to the next corner (Still carrying the extra momentum from the corner cutting and the nudge?)

Polarbart sees a 'gap' (see next comment)

Any then makes it a little larger!! (look at the prvious photo, Polarbart is still in exactly the same relative position to the car in front and has not moved over at all apart from to keep his race going, it is you who has placed your car in a relative blind spot. He also appears to be travelling much faster than you as in the previous shot you seem ahead but in this one you are neck and neck)

The rest was like a game of pinball, which left me with a blown engine and a trip to the pits! (As you continued your out of control drive that resulted from cutting the corkscrew and then proceeded to take everyone out)

feel sorry for the by standers who had thier race affected by this one

(its no good, you've got yourself "under investigation by the race officials" for this incident)
ps. All in good fun, but I showed someone else these photos and they also layed blame on "that gold car cutting that first corner"
