As above really - I fancy buying another 360 game, not sure what to get. I'm trying to buy games from different "genres" so I have different types of games to play.

So far I have:

Gears of War
Test Drive Unlimited
Lego Star Wars II - Original Trilogy
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Project Gotham Racing 3

As I've already got 2 driving games, I don't want to get Forza yet. I'm not into sports games, so don't really fancy FIFA and the like.

Any suggestions for the next game? I liked the Rainbow Six series on the PC so I'm thinking of getting Rainbow 6 - Vegas but as I have Gears and Splinter Cell DA, I might put off getting Vegas for a while.

What other must have titles am I missing? Oblivion? Not played an RPG since Bards Tale on the Amiga smile

Cheers.

In fact blockbuster will give you £17 worth of credit for TD2 which can go toward buying a copy of Forza.

IMO TD2 was ok for a week then got really boring and compared to Forza is a load of tosh really.

Try Fight Night Round 3, I downloaded the demo and really enjoyed it. Its a really fun game (even better with 2 players) and the graphics are excellent.
Its also pretty old now so its cheap, I got it brand new from Play.com for ~£17

I actually quite like TDU so will be keeping it for a while. I will get Forza at some point, but not yet tongue out

I'll look at Fight Night, cheers.

Any other suggestions?

If you fancy a bit of an RPG romp then you should definitely pick up Oblivion, especially as you can get it for about £15 these days, steal of the century at that price.

Cheers Steve - how does it compare to other RPG games? As I say, not really played RPGs much since Bards Tale - sure things have moved on since then.

Is it more like the Zelda series on Nintendo 64/Gamecube etc?

Thanks...

FORZA 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-) Its a must!

Then wait for the new Halo and Grand Theft Auto as you wont have time to play any other games then.

I've got Rainbow 6 Vegas and havent played it much to be honest, not sure the graphics really work on a no HD screen. Ghost Recon 2 may be a better game.

Im not an RPG fan but have enjoyed Oblivion a lot, but be warned it would probably take over 100 hours to complete.

If you like online shooters and 2nd hand copy of battlefield 2 would be a good addition, although its a bit old now.

This is still the best game on the 360 for me, but be warned, it will take over your life! Awesome game though.

Hmm, thanks for the suggestions.

Does anybody rate Viva Pinata? I used to really enjoy the Populus/Black & White type games and I think my other half would quite like VP too...

Thanks!

Quite hard to quantify Oblivion, mixes traditional RPG staples like levelling up, character choice and morality in with a very impressive game engine, large world and real-time combat. Weapons all feel good to whack things with and all have realistic effects, swinging at a weedy goblin with a giant warhammer will result in it being flung back with a very sore head.

Viva Pinata is quite a bit different to populous and black and white, more like a cross between Pokemon and Gardeners world, good clean fun though and saps time like you wouldn't believe.

Viva Pinata is all consuming......but only for about 5-10 hrs. After that you'll never pick it up again. IME.

Very novel and imaginatively thought out game though. Worth getting if it's cheap.

Thanks for all the advice guys - I've ordered Oblivion from Play for £18. I figured that if I played it for a while and didn't like it, I shouldn't lose a massive amount on it if I exchanged it at Game or somewhere else.

I expect I will like it though - looks very good and different to all the other games I already have smile

Oblivion is a real time eater.

However I'd swap PGR for Forza when you go for Forza. I still occasionally get TDU out for a bit of traffic and police baiting biggrin. But not I've got Forza, I can't see me ever loading PGR up again.

Dead Rising is brilliant for a bit of mindless zombie bashing. Fight Night Round 3 is excellent fun, even more so with a group of friends. Personally i wouldn't bother with Test Drive Unlimited, i bought it and now i have Forza it doesn't get played at all.

A friend of mine plays alot of pinata, i played for an hour and got pretty bored.

I find it odd that being a member of piston heads hasn't made you pick forza up, some members here are buying xbox's just to get a taste of the action. Get Forza, get online and have a blast!
