resident evil wii
Discussion
Resi 4 on GameCube was in a word, epic!
One of the best games I've ever played!
I certainly will look closely at the Wii version and may consider buying (although I still have the GC version, so not entirely sure!)
Yeah Manhunt 2 banned by BBFC which is odd because the UK is generally regarded as (one) of the most lenient on game releases....
No doubt released in a few months with revised content.
I'm looking forward to it!

It hasn't been released in either America or Australia either I think....
But according to BBFC it is illegal to import it, but not illegal to have it in your possession...
The "import" bit I assume is the same for importing one copy for personal use and say Game importing for multi-sales....
Shame though!

You can personally import it. You can import anything so long as it contains no illegal material and is solely for personal use. Manhunt 2 was rejected a classification meaning it cannot be sold anywhere in the UK, its content is not illegal though.

But since Manhunt 2 has been given a AO (Adults Only) rating in the US, which Nintendo and Sony do not allow on their consoles, it is not looking like it will be released at all without cuts.

What a hell of a development cost to waste!
I would have thought they'd just do what they had done with previous games that had been refused classification (i.e. Carmageddon) and jsut revise content!
Shame if they don't I was looking forward to it!

I heard someone asked the BBFC what would need to be revised to get a certification and their response was - basically all of it!What a hell of a development cost to waste!

p.s. I think the decision not to give Carmageddon a rating was overturned on appeal

Well that sucks!p.s. I think the decision not to give Carmageddon a rating was overturned on appeal
Maybe I will end up getting the revised Resi 4 then... (I already have the GC version and hope it is different enough!)
I picked this up yesterday and had a quick couple of hours with it. Having not played any resident evil games before and not really being into this game genre I was fairly open minded.
First thing I noticed is how poor the graphics are. Switching between Forza 2 on the 360 and RE4 on the Wii, I had to rub my eyes as everything was blurry! I know that the Wii is no where near as sharp as the 360 but I did expect a little more.
The long story/cut sequences were ok and introduced story and set the scene/mood fairly well, but again lacked visual impact and any wow factor.
Once the game got going though... The controls work very well and the sound helps create a great atmosphere. I had decided to play it in the dark at home with the sound cranked up and must admit that I jumped a few times as I was attacked from the side or behind.
I can see myself getting into it more and can understand why it is rated so highly - just a pity the graphics are so piss poor. Now, if this was on the 360 with the same intuitive controllers - that'd be one hell of a game!

Brought this game last night in the end and i am so glad i did. This is the best game i have played on the wii so far. Yes the graphics are never gonna be able to compete with the 360, but if i wanted good graphics i would buy a 360. They are better than other games i have played, but its jus the game play is so addictive. Was on it for 4 hours last night.
A note to Skibum, dont ever play Spiderman 3 on the wii. The graphics are
