PS3 Online "Home"....... ?

Ok, whats this PS3 online "Home" malarky all about - y'know, the thing where you can display achievements and so forth ? I've read about it, but can't seem to find any reference to it in the menus ?

Is it something that's not out yet, or am I just missing something due to sleep deprivation ..??

Any help greatly appreciated !

It's in a private Beta at the moment, due to be rolled out in the autumn at some point, expect it here around November time.

I quite like the look of it and if it takes off it could be huge. Does anybody know if the user added content is just going to be videos and mp3s or will it be more than that, maybe a bit second life'ish?

Also will you have to pay for it or will it be free download??

IIRC I read it will have bowling alleys and pool halls amongst other things so you can meet up and play with friends

AFIK its a lobby system, your home appartment is limited to your friends list, as I assume is the games?

Its not a persistent massive virtual world.
