Forza: tyre wear

Do the tyres get worn out on Forza or just temporarily overheated? Does the wear accumulate from race to race?

I hav'nt progressed much into the professional or endurance races so far - so apoligies if this is a dumb question!

yes they wear - at differing rates depending on how you drive.

its only per race though, so you start every race with a fresh set and after a pit - look on the damage screen to look at wear!

So how do you know the wear?

Will the tyres overheat quicker in corners to give you and indication its time to pit?

Press up on the dpad for telemetry then scroll right for tire temps and wear. They don't blow tho', you just find youself doing 400yd drifts.

Checking telemetry is def one for the straights. I can barely speak when racing, let along bugger about with the dpad.

i find it easier to hit LB and look at the damage screen - they go yellow, orange and then red to show the wear

Did some endurance races and dont think I saw anything after 30 odd laps???

the standard tyres that come on most cars hardly wear at all, put some stickyer stuff on, and you'll see it change.

I hav'nt used the telemetry screen at all really. I was sure I could feel the tyres were getting a bit knackered after a few laps of broadside cornering.

Will defo get online with some of you lot in the near future. Just need to get some more practice in first
