This was one of the main reasons I bought my PSP. It was a promised release but seems to have disappeared without a trace.

Anyone heard anything ?

I have completed all but the most awkward final extras on RR and outrun too arcadey for my tastes and not as addictive as I remember from years past.

why not just *find* an old copy of GT2, transfer to PC in commonly known cd format, download *played with* psp firmware and file conversion utilities from pspupdates.qj.net, convert file, transfer new file to PSP and voila - GT2 on PSP smile

better than waiting for GT-P I'm sure you'll agree!

Tell me fred, these custom firmwares on that site, do they allow use of the latest UMD games as well as homebrew?

Must admit my PSP has sat gathering dust pretty much since I bought it, its a Jap 1.0 which I didnt want to upgrade as I wanted to keep the homebrew ability which at the time was more fun than the available games.

What about trying Test Drive: Unlimited? It was pretty good on PS2, could be worth a punt on PSP?

If it was still in production for the PSP, Sony would be shouting about it at the top of their lungs. If there's still no announcement about it at the Tokyo Game Show in September, I think we'll have to forget about GT:Mobile.

What software would you need to use if you wanted to *cough* convert GT2 to use on a PSP *cough*?

Marf, yes they do - although I will admit I haven't used one for a while (psp is gathering dust at the min). You do have to play leapfrog with the official released firmware though, as new games have different detection methods for 'modified' firmware.

As for the tools to do it, they're available on pspupdates too... I'm using 3.03 OE (I think) and the tool to do PSX iso modifications to run on PSP is called POPS or POPStation, and there's a link to the PSX2PSP front end to POPS here
