Excellent mod. thumbup One of the best tintop mods I've seen, it would be really brilliant for online racing. It might even tempt me to start racing online again.

Shame the suspension is buggered. I think everyone who thinks the handling is fine are driving anti-clockwise circuits with mainly left hand corners, whilst those noticing a problem are using clockwise circuits with significant right handed corners?

Anyone using RealFeel FF has it pulling to the left in a straight line too.

They've got their numbers mixed up for the front left and rear left uprights.

Have they posted a patch yet?

I had a blast around Snetterton earlier today and can't say I noticed any problems, even with the plugin.

I used Snetterton to test it too and didn't have any problems there either.

There is a fix http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?p=3500537#p...

also this from TechAde on the GRC forum

Open up the .hdv file (there's one for Club class and one for S class)

Scroll down till you find the section for [FRONTLEFT] (or is it [LEFTFRONT]?) and in that section you'll see 2 lines referring to pushrodbody and pushrodspindle. Add a minus sign immediately after the opening bracket, to make the first number negative.

Repeat for [REARLEFT] (or [LEFTREAR]?).

Then for tyres open the .tbc file (again one for s class one for club class) and change the pneumatic trail value to the one I posted.

There we go, dontcha feel better now you did it yerself and I didn't have to break the copyright on the NFR physics files?

Panclan, will that cause a mismatch online?

I have no idea, I leave the mods and tracks to people that know what they are doing. I just run a Caterham league, but may run a mid-week Mini league too.

I have just spoken to TechAde, the fix will cause a mismatch, so each PC and the server would need the fix.

It will if the server isn't running the edit. Any HDV change will cause a miss-match.

Had a blast online in the minis earlier at mills. FANTASTIC FUN. I was in 3rd on the last lap when the P2 guy spun. Ended up 0.6 behind him only to overtake him on the very last corner and beat him by 2 hundredths!

I think we should try this in the larkabout races once the official suspension patch is out. Or maybe before...

Adam can you have a look at the V8 race server, Neil said he put Hidden Valley on there (well it was on there still from the Caterham race we did) but as we were racing Snett last night we have yet to change tracks and I've just tried and it needs more than 1 person online to move to the next track.

So we can make sure it's all working for next weekend.

Thanks smile

OK - try now. I've not administered the server since it sprouted the larkabouts, so I'm not sure if there's a special procedure to follow. Let me know.

I'll definately have to have another go at the online stuff, especially if you're using tintops more. Who do I pay the money for the server? (I never ended up paying before!)

Send an email to Neil - he's in charge of the server and monies.

Thanks for that it's all working. I think Neil is away somewhere now and I had until 12 noon today to check and let him know but couldn't till the afternoon.
