They have also confirmed there will be no "money cap" implemented and that DLC is very much on the cards with the first package scheduled for an August release and more to follow.

I like the "series of car packs" bit and new tracks will always be welcome Thing is though they are under no real obligation to produce any extra content anyway, so if they are going to produce optional extra content I don't really have that much of a problem paying a bit extra if its worth getting (Extra tracks and cars both seem like worth getting to me). It's not as if we should expect them to expand the game at no extra cost.

Well you can race me online when I am in my 360CS (or ST204) so I think that is a given unless they seriously forget what they have done. Don't get me wrong, I would love the DLC for free, but thats never going to happen.
So I would rather pay a little for them now than have turn10 say somthing like "Yes you can have all the DLC free, tell you what, we will include them in Forza3 totally FOC?"
ps. Realised after logging off last night that I had tuned the ST204 gearing for a couple of oval blasts and it was still in that super long state at the start of the 'ring race. Hence the reason it was so slow off the grid and so slow to accelerate. DOH!!!

How odd - I realised after logging off last night that playing Forza after 4 pints at lunchtime and a bottle of vino in the evening is rather detrimental to your true skill rating

Quite the opposite, they are under a massive obligation, after numerous delays and the chance of yet another delay, they pulled some tracks out of the game to allow them to hit the release date. They did this on the premis that they would be **free ** DLC in the near future.Bring it on I say

I for one will be well miffed if I have to pay for the extra tracks as they were originally meant to be encompassed(sp?) in the game I have already paid for.

Would you still be glad to pay for DLC when a game costing £40 comes with 1 car and two tracks and the rest you must pay for at £1 each.....Payable DLC is good however they must be carefuly that it must be in addition to the game and not to complete the game. Not everybody will have access to the net to download the completion of the game.

And at the end of the day though, without that promise written down on an official press release by Turn10(ie. Somthing that would be "sue-able" in the USA) and then inserted into every copy of the game box they are not under any obligation to do anything. They released the game as it is and we all bought it. And I've looked, there are no promises written anywhere on the packaging about free extra content at a later date, or on the disc, or in the manual. What we bought is what they released, if they really wanted they could happily now move on to Forza3 without any legal come back.
If you bought it with the express opinion that you would be getting loads extra stuff for free at a later date then I suggest you get hold of that official statement by Turn10 you refer to and get ready to call your solicitor.
And as for the missing release dates and having delays... annoying, but so what at the end of the day? Its a game, a peice of software, a live peice of code constantly being changed and added to. Something that can be hit by unforseen bugs and glitches that need fixing before release. It's not as if they missed the release dates because they were sitting around on thier arses drinking coffee playing thier own demo. I would much rather a proper fixed release than have to sit through postings similar to the ones about the PC version of Test drive unlimited (which works fine for me). Even now the game has glitches that are being fixed.
And besides, when they set those release dates you can be sure as hell that there was a "reserve the right to change" on all the dates, and the same on the game content.

PGR2 had the booster packs which contained 8 or so tracks, although based around the same city and about 10 cars for £2.99. Thats OK in my opinion but much more than that is a bit OTT.
