XBOX LIVE NOT WORKING

My xbox will log me on and connect to internet but is showing no friends online and wont find any players on gow is anyone else having problems today ?

I've connected to live, but it doesnt show anyone online and I cant get on the Forza Scoreboards or the Xbox Forums. Its pissing me off as I want to see how my Forza auctions went on.

i think they are updating portions of live today (there are issues on the website)..

IMHO (not fact, guess) I reckon they are upgrading the servers.

Live has been really problematic the last few days - suggesting the servers are being overwhelmed, so if i was MS, i'd be adding to the server farm - though this will require the re-deployment of the loadbalancing systems, thereby quite likely taking down essential services.

And once everythings installed, they'll need to test it.

I'd agree with you on that Forza was annoying last nite with people bouncing all over the show due to lag.
I've also had problems with my headset where it says your in the Forza chat channel but you can't hear anyone and no one else can hear you. Its been flagged on the Forza forums but it seems a very tempromental bug.
I've just got the auction house working again though.
