I have changed my TV since it last worked back in may. Don't ask. So hooked it up with the leads I had come with it. and the picture quality is crap but I got sound. OK

So I also bought a lead that hooks to my PC port on my HDTV. great the picture quality is good but no sound.

the lead also had a red and white lead but when I hook it to either of the red or white ports on the back of the TV I still get no sound. I have played with the menu on my TV but no sound still.

please could anyone give me a link tot he lead they use to hook their HDTV to their 360

please

I got either crap quality picutre or no sound on Forza so not enjoying a game I would love

Sounds like you're using the VGA HD cable, which was what I had to use (my TV had HD, but only through the DVI port). Mine worked fine. You could try changing round the red and the white. Other than that I can only imagine you've got a duff cable.

Not a 360 owner, but, if this was a PC, I'd say fiddle with the sound settings/options. It might need to be told to do something different.

If that fails, it could well be a duff cable.

Has your tv got something like a 3.5 jack socket(headphone) near the pc connection. If so you need a red/white phono into a 3.5 jack lead. Thats what i've got anyway.

Yup, my HDTV (a Samsung) has an audio in on the VGA channel via a jack plug, not the red and white phonos.

You need an adaptor matey.
Or, even better, an optical lead into a 5.1 surround amp.
