Okay, this was Mr E's idea - i'm just posting it up for him.

A slightly less serious Forza race challenge.


Pre 1975 American Muscle car (must be front engined, rear wheel drive)

ANY class.


However - heres the twist.

You can modify the engine as much, and in any way you want - BUT YOU CAN ONLY MODIFY THE ENGINE.

So you cant touch the drivetrain (brakes, suspension, gearbox etc) tyres, weight anything

Heres my first attempt - a Chevelle SS with an engine swap a real handful but lots of fun!

Well that was easy.

One GTO hardtop. One Chevvy LS7 race spec engine. No other mods allowed.

Result? 620bhp and drum brakes.

I'm taking it out for the first time now.

Well that was exciting. Is it normal for the rear tyres to be yellow all the way around the track?

yeah, pretty much...

what i didnt mention was - the above picture was when i tried driving it WITH traction control - i found with it off i simply crabbed onto the grass whenever i tried to move forward

Did I forget to mention no traction control.

Mine is just about drivable, as long as you're delicate and don't ask it to change direction too many times in a row...

Whats going to be interesting is that the original gearbox limits them to 120-130mph so will be some close racing!

Give it time - Forza has been quiet for a while (seems like people have gotten lives.. the selfish buggers!) I think once people are back they will join in, just for the laugh

We definatly need to not allow the GT40 or Shelby cobra though - the gearing on those two cars will make it compeltley unfair

i might* be on early evening tonight for this, havent played Forza in a while so I really should break the disc out again. Prime excuse to de-tune "Hemi under Glass" and get some use out of it.

• I reserve the right to not join in should I decide to go out and I also reserve the right to bugger off and play "Gears" around 9pm if anyone else is up for it

I'll bring out my "bullet" Charger, i've kept the engine mods to a minimum and hope to pick up places as every one spears off
