Race 07 demo out, even has online multiplayer
Discussion
It comes with Anderstorp and Brands Hatch and the WTCC 2007 BMW E90 and Seat Leon, or one of the F3000 single seaters. Seems to run very smoothly compared to Race 06, plus has more series included in the full game. And a very nice helmet cam view.
Worth a look.

It's OK (full field of cars and a good framerate) but compared to RFactor and Live For Speed it just seems a little lacking in character and liveliness - the cars lack that feeling of being powerful and on the edge of adhesion, they just feel dull and lifeless.
With RF and LFS the car feels alive and skips around, sliding and moving as it corners. Even the ancient STCC game had more entertaining handling.
The Race07 demo certainly doesn't make me want to go and buy the game, whereas the RFactor and LFS demos did.
Overall, disappointing. Shame, a decent touring-car game would be great. Imagine a field of 30 BTCC Sierra Cosworth era cars with too much power and not much grip.....

The Rfactor demo was awful, the cars looked like somthing from the 80s, which I guess is why you liked it, Sierra's?With RF and LFS the car feels alive and skips around, sliding and moving as it corners. Even the ancient STCC game had more entertaining handling.

Well I'd rather the game played well than looked good...
Anyway, there are loads of addon cars and tracks for RF which make it look much better.
That's sort of what I meant, I wouldn't have bought Rfactor on the strength of the demo, I just thought a million PHer's can't be wrongAnyway, there are loads of addon cars and tracks for RF which make it look much better.
, still waiting for the 1986GP and JGTC mods though, their taking forever.
Jim, there is a huge 80's touring car mod in the works for rFactor - as to when it comes out - who knows!
