I've just been given a Wii for my birthday and to be honest aside from Wii Sports, I've no idea what's any good on it.
I'll keep the 360 (when it comes back from it's Ring of Death episode) for more 'traditional' games, and would like to get the sort of games that Nintendo do best, original, playable and things that use the Wiimote to the fullest.
So what should I look out for?

I got Wii Play (okay - more for the free controller) and resident evil - which is a lot of fun, though trickier than FPS on the xbox.

Just got the brain academy through, but havent played it yet.

Blazing angels and afterburner were crap, super mario strikers id give 7/10, the godfather is a good role play game, we're currently hooked on scarface though, lots of gore and fun similar to grand theft auto on the playstation, zelda was fun for about a week

We've got Mario Party 8 and I think you need friends and lots of controllers for it.

Bored.

Zelda is superb - stick with it and get into the story. Its a little easy but its huge and very very good. I have completed it now, but even tempted to do it all again!

Just got Super Paper Mario which is good and very clever (2d to 3d flipping). Wii Play is a good laugh and Big Brain is pretty good too. At the moment I am indulging in my love of Japanese RPGs on the Gamecube though. Currently trying to complete Tales of Symphonia which isnt easy. And dont forget the back catalogue of download games.

I have Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime on pre-order, both are due in the next couple of months so keep a look out. Early reviews of Metroid Prime say its very good indeed. Galaxy is still a little unknown so far.

the problem appears to be a lack of Wii games that support online play.

Big Brain is great especially if you have kids - they catch up very fast and it keeps you on your toes!

hmm...

ive not had it long but have 5 games, mario striker football thingy is the only one with online play.

its a good game, not for the footy purist though.

anyways, it seems i can only play against people in my friends list who have the game and are obviously online.

i cant just jump into a match and kick some random kids ass. . . . . . .

yeah, none of the 4 games i have support online play - and from what ive read about actually playing over t'internet its a tricky affair.

Havent tried the PS3, but the xbox sounds to have the easiest and most user friendly online services..

Super Paper Mario is great.

Hairy Potter is pretty OK too.
