I'd say the closest thing you'll find is Dead Rising actually, Dawn of the dead in that it's set inside a shopping mall, packed to the gills with zombies and you can use pretty much anything as a weapon...

yeah, Dead Rising is pretty close to your requirements John..

Okay - not quite as good of an interface as GOW - but you can use practically anything in the mall as a weapon (cans, coathangers, swords, chainsaws) - there is a sort of plan to it if you want to follow - though you can just play free-form if you want.

Lots and lots of side quests - infact I doubt you could actually do everything with one time through.

Good fun - for a while at least.


Other than that, isnt Resident evil 5 coming to the xbox soon?
