Counter Strike Steam problems!

I've got a connection problem with steam can anyone help.

I play fairly regular and never have an issue but today while steam was loading up a server (any server tried a few) i would get binned from the server almost imediately then a message comes up saying that my steam user ID isnt valid? Why? How can i get my ID back? How did i lose it in the first place?

Anyway cheers for any advise

Couldn't connect to steam last night myself but seems to be ok now

what was the error thou? was it your steam ID or something else?

i've had this a few times(happened today infact so i am certain this should work). all you have to do is log out from steam(not just shutdown) -go on settings, then click "log in as different user" and then log back in, then it should be all fine.

LOL yep just posting on here to say the exactly same thing. Although make sure you know what your password is! mine was a very old password which i never use anymore so had fun trying to remember it!
