Mint but im finding it quite hard , racing games have never really done it for me anyway but i like gotham becasue its not realistic (it actually states this in game) and you can have a proper hoon without worrying about anything

Just got my copy about an hour ago.
Its GREAT FUN !!!

Looks awesome, pretty damn good sounds for the cars with some pops (no fire ), and er yes talk to you later

well only managed about 30 mins before the wife wanted the TV back. So first impressions are " bloody good fun" only tryed the Rs500 cossy and the Buell bike but fudging fun and seems like loads to do in the game

Correction, getting proper off with the driving style again. It's not a (semi) sim like Forza, but it's not an Arcade - if I wanted to drive in the pissing rain, I would go outside - I want to (play) drive proper cars on proper tracks in proper weather.

Random TC/ESP amounts, sometimes there's grip, othertimes not. Why are you rewarded for driving like an arse? Only 11 year olds think that drifting is the quickest way round a track.

I know what it is, having played the Demo and owned PGR3 - it just take a while to adjust the driving style to suit.

i've been enjoying it but like you said it takes a bit of getting used to it. but thats the same for all driving games. I must say I'm enjoying the bikes

The bikes are rubbish and a waste of bytes (although running them over is fun) the handling is cartoonish, the tyre physics are shit, the steering is waaaaay too darty and the frame rate is pathetic once you get used to Forza's 60 FPS. Oh, and you can take the cone challenges and superstars and stick them somewhere.

It does sound good though, and some of the tracks are interesting (mainly Macau), and I keep finding myself playing it despite being really dissapointed in the game.

Put it this way - I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it, but it'll keep me busy until Turn 10 release some new tracks for Forza.

Do you get penalised for knocking the bikes over? It's fun anyway.

The classical soundtrack is pure comedy though, racing around New York listening to Hall of the Mountain Giants (Alton Towers theme) ttting bikes

Just picked up my copy at 5 past twelve like a geek. Been waiting for it all week. Its ok, but it doesnt have the buzz that forza had and i think the menu layout is confusing.
Why did they have to put GTA back

This has irritated me since their first racing title, Metropolis Street Race. Brake too late? have some points. Drift through a corner? have some points. Wheelspin out of a bend? Have some points. Drive perfectly smooth and win the race? No points at all.

However, I have noticed that PGR4 does dish out a small portion of points for 'nice corner' when you get the line right, but that's all.
