Rediscovering old games.
Discussion
Amazing how much more fun games are after going back to them after a while. I just dug out "Undying". Now that my PC goes like a rocket I have cranked up all the video and audio settings.
Quake 3 arena is also fantastic, again with all settings cranked up even Halo 1 looks less shite, I might even have a go at finishing it.
Anyone else gone back to old games?

Yup, did this recently with Painkiller - max graphics settings, it was amazing how different it felt - a rally great old school shooter.
Just bought the entire Valve back catalogue on Steam - so looking forward to some old skool Countertrike, HL1/2 (and HL2 parts 1 and 2), TF2, Portal etc.etc.
If only I had more time to play!

I've been playing Far Cry a lot recently. Not that old, only 3 1/2 years, so it hasn't dated at all really - superb!
It's actually grown on me a lot, I went through and completed the entire thing without cheating this time (the last two levels were damn near impossible when I played it the first time, and I got fed up because I wanted to see the end) - I'm finding it a lot easier now), and have replayed most of the levels several times, finding alternative routes.
There's quite a few shortcuts you can pick up on the more you play it; some levels I can burn through in only a few minutes now, by using better tactics.
Hoping Far Cry 2 will be as good....

I revisit Zelda on an N64 emulator quite often. An interesting one I played on the mega drive was a game called Starflight, it was great it had a huge galaxy to explore and you would visit planets to mine for minerals etc. I remember being totaly addicted when I first rediscovered it.
