Orange Box for 360, anyone got it?
Discussion
Was going to but I don't think HL2 will work very well on the xbox. TF2 looks ok but I can't see it being much fun in 6months as there's only 6 maps. Plus there's usually a complete lack of teamwork with console based shooters (obviously depends who you play against but the majority seem uninterested in teamplay) so it can't translate too well onto the xbox.
Oh and I've done nothin but play Halo 3 since I bought it.

I've had this for a week or so (not living in the UK)
HL2: Good action, but really had no idea as to what was going on story wise.
HL2: Ep1: Great action and I'm following the story fine.
HL2: Ep2: Not got that far yet
Team Fortress 2: Very laggy (due to a bug, to be fixed in a few days time)
Portal: Quite possibly one of the best games I have ever had the fortune to play through in my life... sadly it's very very short. Certainly not a graphical show case, but the atmosphere, sound, music, story, puzzles and head-screwyness come together to create a first-person game like none I've ever experienced before.

Ordered it from Hong Kong for the princely sum of £25 for the 360. Think it's arrived today, but I need to go to the post office and find out if it's that, or the jumbo sized rubber cock I've been waiting for.
Is it a region-free title then ? Wonder how long it will be before that "loop hole" is shut. Some CD vendor in hk was shut down because british companies complained they sell cd's cheaper then them (what? cheaper products? in a free market? HOW DARE YOU!)
Yeah it is, knew the American version was region free and took a bit of a gamble on the Asian copy, but after a few days people started cropping up saying they'd done the same and it was fine.
Microsoft appear to already be clamping down on certain sites, Playasia pulled it from theirs after a day or two and advertised it as NTSC/Asia only, but there are a few other sites out there like Renchi (where I ordered from) and Gadget Asia who have obviously slipped under the radar thus far.

Well I'm still waiting on that rubber cock. Totally spoilt for choice gaming-wise already and most of the big hitters have yet to arrive, doesn't help when one game offers you 5 choices of what to play.
Got in last night wondering whether to play some more Portal, spend some more time with PGR4 or crack on with HL2 again.
Ended up doing all 3 throughout the evening, finished off Portal and loved every minute of it, then had the portal gun feature in every single one of my dreams last night, really want one now

I'm loving it at the moment, always liked half life and had HL 2 on my pc but don't really get to play games on my pc very often, plus my pc is pants.
Not played Ep 1 or 2 yet as I figured it would make sense to finish HL2 first then crack on with these.
Portal is awesome, can't get the bloody ending song out of my head though! Think they should release it as a bid for Christmas number one
Not played TF2 yet, waiting until a couple of my mates pick it up this week then we'll have a look.
'the cake is a lie'

'the cake is a lie'

this game is bloody superb
thought i would be in a bit of a gaming lull post halo, but this is so good
Its also way better than my pc version. Graphics on the 360 are excellent and very smooth.
Ep 2 looks graphically more polished so far.
TF2 is much better now post lag fix and is hilarious.

CD-WOW.And Lik Sang, vis a vi selling Sony PSP's.
It's not a free market.
Anyway, not on a 360, but been playing Portal on the lappy. Good greif that makes my head hurt
Shame its so short
Wonder if it does multiplayer..... Sorry for my ignorance but is Half Life pretty good? I've never really played PC games but remember hearing a lot of people raving about it a few years ago. Do I need the 'Orange Box' in my life now, while I'm still playing Halo 3 on Live, or should I ask Santa for it? What is in it? I'm getting the feeling that I might be missing out on something big...

Half Life 2 would be the greatest FPS ever made, as much as I like Halo it simply doesn't come close to Half Life 2 in terms of the single-player experience. In the box you get Half Life 2, the two expansion episodes to it (5-6 hours each, possibly more) Team Fortress 2 which is like 'The incredibles do Battlefield' think class based capture the flag style games done in an amazing cartoon style. Finally you also get a copy of Portal which is a physics based puzzler where you fire a portal at one wall, another portal at another and walk through one appearing out of the other, it's short but oh so sweet.
So yeah you're missing out on one amazing boxset and you do need it in your life. Would say it's a slow-burner though and not likely to disappear in 5 minutes, so you'd be safe asking Santa nicely for it.
Still loving it, still on HL2 and not finished it yet! Just got through Nova Prospekt and onto the 'Entanglement' part of the game. I'm now much further than I had gotten on my PC version and just can't believe how big this game is, without even starting on Ep 1 or Ep 2 yet!
Anyone who doesn't have this should definately buy it, the best single player FPS bar none

Just finished Nova Prospekt, finished it on the PC a couple of years ago and forgotten how long/varied/hard it can be.
It would be a bit confusing I think if you hadn't played the original Half Life or know what the story was. I imagine you could pick this up for next to nothing though and even an old PC would cope well with this. (Released back around 99/2000 IIRC).
