best mid price agp card

Advice plz:
Got a pentium 3.4ghz based system. All the hardware should be fine for gaming, as far as I'm aware, but video card a bit long in the tooth. It's a Geforce 5700 256mb and it's starting to struggle as I found out on trying Quake Enemy Territory. Anyone got suggestions as to which way to go with graphics upgrade? Has to be agp and I don't see the point of breaking the bank. No pci express slot.

I was in the same boat as you a while back and the best i could get at the time was the Radeon X1950 512 meg.
Not sure which Nvidia card compares to that but that was like the final step upgrade wise.
I also purchased some cheap asrock mobo months later which had AGP and PCIE and DDR and DDR2 options and was
going to continue using my ram and AGP and just get a core 2 duo cpu - then upgrade the rest later.
Turns out the upgrade bug bit though due to that mobo only allowing x4 PCIE and 2 gig of DDR2 and i
spent a few more quid instead! (see other thread of mine)
