After returning for a bit a blat on GT4 i was wondering what the quickest car is?

I seem to be getting amazing 0-400, 0-1000 and top speed figures from the Audi Le Mans Quattro aka R8. It seems the traction is amazing. Its almost like Evo's real performance figures that nearly minced the Enzo in real life.

Anyway, the other i found that is really quick is the Ruf Yellow Bird.

Does anyone else have a tip for top road car that is tuneable and very very quick?

I appreciated the race cars are quick but i'm looking for that road car experience....

This is my favourite game at the moment- My quickest car is a funny one

Its a Cadillac Cien- supercharged (not turboed), engine work done, lightened etc. Needs a rear wing from the GT Auto place and maximum downforce settings- plus all the suspension etc setting up properly.

Bejeesus though- the sound it makes and the speed it goes is just awesome!

Seriously give it a try- when I get home I'll have a look at the ring time its done- think its pretty quick tho

Edit- maybe not strictly as road car though!

TVR Speed 12 maxed out. IF you can get traction, it's stupidly quick.

I have a 1100hp+ Nissan R92 but tractions is quite an issue. Suprisingly I've never found the Escudo that good despite it's stats.

Had one, sold it. It was the quickest way I found of getting to the far side of the gravel trap.

The maxed-out M5 is a better all-round car.

Rallying is best done in that Rally Raid thing. It's bonkers.

There's a lot of fun to be had in a souped-up Lupo GTI.

Just been playing GT4 and it really is starting to show its age now isn't it!

The handling is generally terrible, was playing with a Zonda on the Tsukuba circuit. With all the driving aids off and on the default tyres if just understeered like a Punto, into last corner - 3rd gear - boot it and it just understeers off the circuit.

The engine noises are rubbish as well.

GT5 needs to be a massive improvement, doubt it will be though, seeing as how they have already confirmed they will not be implementing damage.

Yessssssss.

Actually inclined to agree on the engine sounds.

Apart from the '69 GT40 and the Shelby Cobra. Oh. And the Delta S4, and 205 T16.

Best handling (!?) road car I've driven on there is a slightly modded E46 M3 CSL. I'll keep up with the DTM cars on the 'Ring 24hr race.

The fastest I have is the VW V12 concept thing that I've forgotten the name of redface

The M3 CSL or the GTR are both very very good cars

i think an evo VI rs tommi, fully tuned with the AYC turned up quite high and on qualifying tyres is quite a decent car for beating lap times, but maybe not for racing. i cant remember how it did on the 1/4 mile though. and as for the escudo, well, the 10 hour turbo lag followed by rocket-like acceleration does make it quite tricky to drive fast, and it doesn't enjoy tyres much. other quick cars include the evo VIII gsr MR, mine's skyline, skyline gtr pace car (surprisingly good drift car with the VCD set to fully RWD) and the amuse carbon R. oh and the woodone supra, 205 T16 as has been mentioned and... well, there's loads more but these are my favourites. oh and the AE86 sprinter trueno suichi shigeno version isn't hugely fast but its fun for drifting on special stage route 11.

I;ve just been playing with a TVR Cerbera fully specced to about 650bhp.

I've done nothing to the suspension but lower it and i tell you what, its very quick around the ring'. I'm rubbish but got round in 6.20.
