Driving Games for the PC?

I'm new to this and want a couple of driving games for my PC. A bit of rallying would be good and some track stuff - GT preferably. DIRT the new Mcrae title looks good. Any recommendations for GT racing or better rally games?

Richard Burns Rally
GTR 2
rFactor
GT Legends
and finally Live for speed

These should all be in your collection as standard

Though to enjoy them fully you'll need a decent wheel.

I was thinking about a mid-price steering wheel, probably the Logitech Formula Force EX Steering Wheel - about £40. Any views?

I’ve no experience of the Force EX wheel, but Logitech products are generally very good. You might be able to get more info from the following forums.

Don't get DIRT if you want anything vaguely realistic. The rallying sim of choice on the PC is Richard Burns Rally - you should find it in a bargain bin in a shop, or online somewhere. For GT racing, GTR2 is the obvious choice. rFactor is fantastic too, you can drive just about anything in it!
