COD4 Online Issue

Got a mate of mine who can join open games on line but if he wants to join a few of us from work in a private game he can't get on. Any ideas?

Don't know if it will help, but, when trying to invite friends into our games, we get the following.

1/ Only an invite from the host of the party will work.

2/ Only the 2nd invite works, 1st one says connection error, 2nd one gets you in.

I've had trouble with "Join session in progress" as it gives an error about the host list requiring updating or something. I believe this has been discussed on xbox forums and is a known problem for which they will bring out a patch.

I've found though that if friends send me an invite then I can join the game that way.

As Polarbert said the NAT may be set to "strict".
I only found this out my self today, if you set the NAT to open it will connect every time.
